a girl perfectly happy with her night of rest and a baguette!!!!!
For the indefinite future consider this my travel blog! I will be studying abroad this fall in the south of France and I started this journey with a two day trip in Paris! Although, I could spend two weeks here and not see everything, I visited as much as I could! Day 1, I unexpectedly found myself staying in Le Marais. A very short hop, skip, and jump away from Notre Dame and the Pantheon! I took a very short nap (results of jet lag) and finally got the courage to get dinner (courage necessary to order my meal in French!) Luckily, when I spoke my very poor French to the server he was so kind to reply in English. Day 2, I finally got a croissant (light & fresh & buttery perfection). And headed to Montmartre- which was an absolute gem! I would 1000% recommend this neighborhood to anyone visiting Paris. Oh! And! Sacré Cœur was absolutely breathtaking (literally, as I chose to climb the 222 stairs that lead to the base of the Basilica) but goodness, the view of Paris from there is wonderful! I then spent the afternoon speaking with local artists, going into thrift stores, and simply being a tourist!!! Truthfully I never saw myself living in Paris or even out of the US; however, after the last two days I may have changed my mind!!!!
