Q: How do snakes hold poison?â
A: Colin says⌠trick question. Snakes arenât poisonous!â
â
Some snakes are venomous, which is different. Poison makes you sick if you eat it, while venom hurts you if itâs injected. Venomous snakes store venom in special glands at the back of their heads and deliver it through specialized teeth.â

Volunteers built the Sciencenter. Literally.â
â
What started as a hands-on science program led by two volunteers, Debbie Levin and Ilma Levine, grew into a community effort. By the early 1990s, more than 2,200 volunteers came together to build the Sciencenter from the ground up.â
â
And that spirit hasnât changed.â
â
Today, volunteers spark curiosity on the floor, connect visitors with animals, support programs, and bring science into the community.â
