Each work is immersive in nature—dismantling the familiar structures of stage and audience, idea and execution, process and presentation. Established and unafraid to defy convention, they meet here to shake loose what’s expected of contemporary dance. Their performances unfold as études rather than grand statements: charged experiments in perception, presence, and being witnessed.

MAINLINE FRONTLINE: USSR EDITION
television is a membrane: thin, porous, and eager to leak.
for this piece, a single documentary—Frontline: Back in the USSR—was disassembled into seventy-five discrete video shards. each shard behaves like a misfiled memory: clipped, re-indexed, and stripped of its original narrative purpose.
using custom extraction tools, these fragments were collapsed into a new topology. the footage was treated as if it were raw ore, melted down and poured into a collage where chronology no longer operates. scenes rupture into each other without regard for reportage; the “story” becomes an ambient pressure rather than a sequence of facts.
the processing pipeline treats broadcast journalism as a kind of industrial pigment. layers are scraped and repainted, signal is folded back onto itself, and stray compression debris becomes compositional material. the soundtrack is carved out of refracted vocal textures and incidentally captured tape noise—ghost commentary from a news cycle long expired.
the work is less an episode and more a diagnostic scan of the cultural machinery that made it: a mainline of frontline, rerouted through soft failure and recombinant memory.

The Big American Football Game: Tribal competition as civic religion. Bodies in motion across a painted field, seen through the static-flecked glow of the living-room screen. Yet in the pauses between cheers, the room softens: someone sneaks another slice of pie, someone else dozes off under a blanket older than the century.
Late Night Movie Night Mystery: When the dishes are washed and the last guests wander in like pilgrims seeking flickering light, the Mystery Film begins. A grainy noir? A forgotten holiday musical? No one knows.
Late Night Movie Night Encore PM Special w/ Sinbad: For the few, the faithful, the over-caffeinated. Sinbad, patron saint of chaotic joy, returns to carry us laughing into the ungovernable deep of the holiday night.
