The Kitchen Comrades are a Ukrainian artists’ collective based in Hamburg —artists/cooks and friends Daria Maier, Kristina Shuster, and Vladyslava Shuster. In April 2025 we began recording our podcast during shifts in the café kitchen where we all work, speaking candidly—sometimes desperately—about migration, left politics, colonialism, and decolonial questions, especially through a Ukrainian lens shaped by war and displacement. The kitchen’s heat and repetitive work became a small protected space to say what often stays unsaid: to talk about borders, bureaucracy, and the political economy that moves—and marginalizes—people.

Ідея кліпу — дослідити Одесу у всій її багатогранності: від околиць і під’їздів до морського узбережжя. Зйомки відбулися експромтом, у форматі імпровізації, без продакшенів і професійного обладнання. Режисер — Сергій Ковальов @kovalov.documentary , військовослужбовець ЗСУ та колишній бендмейт Андрія. «Сонця кров» — історія про передчуття глобальної кризи, останнє літо перед нескінченною зимою та неминучість колапсу. mertvi dereva — молодий проєкт Андрія Печаткіна, що виник приблизно рік тому. Проєкт не має чітких планів чи місії, але прагне створювати автентичну музику та досліджувати нові напрямки. Кліп виходить 10 жовтня 2025 року на YouTube-каналі Iriy Records, а альбом «Непереможне Сонце» можна слухати на всіх стрімінгових платформах. eng On October 10, the solo project mertvi dereva @mertvi_dereva releases a new music video for the track “Sontsia Krov” (Blood of the Sun) from the album “Neperemozhne Sontse” (The Unconquerable Sun), which was released exactly a year ago under Iriy Records. The idea behind the video is to explore the multifaceted city of Odesa — from its outskirts and stairwells to the seashore. The shooting took place spontaneously, in a spirit of improvisation, without major production or professional equipment. The director, Serhii Kovalov @kovalov.documentary , a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Andrii’s former bandmate, happened to be in Odesa on assignment. “Sontsia Krov” is a story about the anticipation of a global crisis — the last summer before an endless winter and the inevitability of collapse. mertvi dereva is a young project founded by Andrii Pechatkin about a year ago. The project has no fixed plans or mission but strives to create authentic music and explore new directions. The video premieres on October 10, 2025, on the Iriy Records YouTube channel, and the album “The Unconquerable Sun” is available on all streaming platforms.
