Jemig wat ‘n project was dit! Something to Lose, het commissioned project voor @roadburnfest 2025 van @throwingbricksband & @ontaardband . Mega dankbaar voor de uitnodiging van mijn vrienden om met ‘n belachelijke drumkit mee te doen aan deze show. Er volgden diverse strooptochten over ‘t terrein van metaalhandel De Kok in Tilburg, waar ik gewapend met een drumstok tussen de schroothopen dwaalde en als ‘n bezetene sloeg op alles wat een mooie (of juist nare) klank teweegbracht. 2025 was a wild one✨ Took a moment last night to really appreciate everything that happened over the past year, like touring Europe with @rmftm and Germany with @yama_doom , kicking off live shows with @gottband , celebrating Utrecht’s finest with @ontaardband and @throwingbricksband at Roadburn, plus releasing two records. Meanwhile, we were busy with some crazy @wootparts projects, like our own drowning mini ramp event, Best Kept Secret, Ed Sheeran, and building several cafés. So many highlights and that’s exactly the (very luxurious!) problem. At times, i couldn’t keep up with my goals or vision because i jumped on so many exciting opportunities that i lost track of what i really want. That’s why i’ve decided to focus on just one project and why i’ve stepped away from playing drums for RMFTM and Yama. That said i’m deeply grateful for 7 years as the radar man from the moon. A special journey with friends, touring across Europe and creating four albums together. Made memories i’ll cherish forever. Same goes for Yama. Since 2011 that band has shaped me into the drummer i am today. Releasing a new album this year was a true highlight, and i’m incredibly proud of the result. Like my friend @theburiedherald said: Off to 2026 and may we keep on rocking in a free world ✌🏻 see you soon xx

We're sad to inform you that we're parting ways with our dear friend and long time Yama battery @schtevig No hard feelings, no bad blood.. just different priorities and life choices.. c'est la vie.. Thanks for the great ride brother ❤️. From the early "Awesome Power" days to highlights like Roadburn, Freak Valley and the Uncle Acid tour. We wish Joep all the best with @gottband and hope to share the stage again some time in the future. PS: luckily we've already found a new drummer, we'll keep you posted! 📷 @lunaobsidia

Tomorrow Roadburn kicks off and beyond excited to play 2 shows at my all-time favorite festival. Playing @roadburnfest is something I’ll never take for granted, even though this will be the fifth time. It’s the kind of thing I always dreamed of. Feeling grateful to be surrounded by such talented people and to be part of this community. Whether as a visitor, volunteer, or artist, we’re all here for the love of dark heavy music. Kan een tragische gebeurtenis een aanleiding zijn voor blijdschap? In Hall of Fame zou je afgelopen woensdag zeggen van wel. Want ook al was er ruim honderd man op de been om geld in te zamelen voor het afgebrande Stroomhuis in Eindhoven, de avond werd een groot ‘hé-jij-hier?’-feest, vol met bands die we alweer even niet hebben gezien (en mogelijk nooit meer gáán zien). 17 oktober 2024 gaat de geschiedenisboeken in als een gitzwarte avond voor de Eindhovense undergroundscene: van de vrijplaats/podium op ‘t Eindje blijft door brand niets over. Woensdagavond is er een benefietavond voor het Stroomhuis in de Hall of Fame. Daar wordt onder de noemer ‘GIRO040’ een avond georganiseerd door Mat van Berkel, Joep Schmitz en Mart van de Logt die alle drie graag in Stroomhuis kwamen. Onder andere @afterpartees , @pressurepact en @the_peoples_pleasure_grounds komen optreden en er is een platenbeurs waarvan de opbrengst tevens naar het Stroomhuis gaat. BEVESTIGD: GIRO 040 Benefiet voor @stroomhuis // 27-11-2024 Na het slechte nieuws dat ons geliefde Stroomhuis, dé creatieve uitlaatklep van underground Eindhoven, er door een brand niet meer is, slaan Tilburgse artiesten en Hall Of Fame de handen ineen om zo veel mogelijk geld op te halen voor Stroomhuis. Met alle opbrengsten van de avond zullen we samen de Gofundme pagina van Stroomhuis spekken. Bands kijken en pils drinken voor het goede doel want STROOMHUIS MOET DOOR! Verschillende bands zullen, op donatie, muziek en merch verkopen. Mocht je met jouw band ook merch willen sponsoren, stuur even een DM naar @martificial_intelligence Docile Bodies en Andy & the Antichrist zullen tussendoor platen draaien. De afterparty wordt verzorgd door DJ Falco & Ellsd.

De Hall heeft altijd ‘n speciale plek in mijn hart gehad. Het is de plek waar ik, van vanaf dat ik een verdomde snotpuber was, altijd de ruimte kreeg om mezelf creatief te ontwikkelen, en dat te delen met de buitenwereld. Van de release show van Yama in 2014 tot de chaotische CLF Eurabia-editie waar werd gecrowdsurft met Wilders-maskers op, en de Rollercoaster Tycoon Lan party tot de afscheidsshow van PingPongPoezië. De momenten zijn ontelbaar en diep in mijn geheugen gegrift. En dan laat ik alle verhalen nog achterwege over toen ik daar ruim 2 jaar op kantoor rondspookte. Daarom doet het me deste meer dat ik vanavond eindelijk weer in @halloffame013 speel, tevens de 1ste headline show met @rmftm in m’n eigen stad. Bij deze album release show komen mijn vrienden van @h_u_t._ optreden. En als kers op de taart draaien de jungs van @ggulldoom de hele avond platen tussen de shows door.
