Reviews are in for our new tech horror series and they’re lookin’ good! Next time a reader asks if you have any scary books like Goosebumps, give them FATAL GLITCH—fast-paced, compulsively readable, short, and creepy, with incredible illustrations by Jeanette Arroyo. The first installment, FATAL GLITCH: CAMP ZERO, features a truly deviant gamer who will do anything to win. It’s a glorious ride through the mind of a twisted 11-year-old and we had so much fun writing it.

Houston friends--come by @brazosbookstore this Saturday morning to hang out and have some story time! I'll be reading my new picture book, Lulu and the Others. Would love to see you.
Students were excited to hear from author Eliot Schrefer (@schrefer ), who shared a thoughtful reflection during his presentation:
“Bonobos are our closest relative & they are a great example of what we all should be: they aren’t violent which means they don’t hurt anyone. They are peaceful. The moms are in charge and they take great care of their babies.”
It was a meaningful reminder about peace, empathy, and caring for one another, values that resonate strongly in our school community. Our students loved learning about bonobos and thinking about what we can learn from them about kindness and cooperation.
Eliot read from Lulu & the Others, sparking great conversation and curiosity among our students.
📚 You can find the book here (and support Harriet’s Bookshop, a Black- and woman-owned shop in Philadelphia): https://shorturl.at/Ab49I
What a memorable visit and an inspiring conversation! 🧡

This heartwarming picture book is about family, identity, and the many ways we care for one another. Perfect for animal lovers, Lulu's story is a conversation starter about protecting endangered animals and respecting the places they call home. 🐵💚
