This is set to be a fun evening for SfS families across all levels and departments to connect, make and share music together with fellow parents and, in some cases, along with their children. Especially as Suzuki Parents, it is important to appreciate the courage and poise our children summon every time they take the stage. 🌟
On Saturday fellow parents will step up, instrument in hand, to model those qualities for our students. And it will be a fun way to remind us all that, whether you are playing or appreciating, the gift of music is one that you carry with you your whole life! 💖🎶🎹🎶🎻🎶💖

☀️🪻🎶🌷This weekend SfS Cello Department welcomed yumikendall for a wonderful and enlightening masterclass. Polishing technique and building awareness, students were asked to reference roots, branches and wings as well as make adjustments à la Roald Dahl’s “The Twits”. Cellists were introduced to the idea of habit-stacking, were reminded to aim for efficiency and that the breath of the musician is what gives life to the instrument (“less work and fuller sound”). They played beautifully and came away with ideas that will undoubtedly shape their growth in many ways, not just musically! #yumikendall
