Three dominating aspects of recent life, yet at the time of painting in 2017 not fully realizing what was to come and how life experiences can re-shift our focus, reminding us of the deeper significance of identity and expression, while maintaining the acceptance of life and existence in all its forms for what it is, can be, and never was.
“Coma” is a modest attempt to realize the self through matters of sound. At a point when life felt like it was suspended and dormant, making us question who we are and what our purpose is. Delving ever deeper into textures of emotions on a micro // macro scale, allowing oneself to breathe through the process.
Now more than ever, I truly understand the notion of “life imitates art”.
