Congratulations to our very own Theatre program for an incredible, successful, sold out run of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. 🎭✨To every actor, designer, stage manager, technician, director, dramaturg, and production team member, your artistry, dedication, and collaboration brought Shakespeare’s enchanted world to life in unforgettable ways!
This whimsical comedy intertwines the stories of four young lovers, spirited fairies, and a hilariously earnest troupe of amateur actors. As the play sweeps audiences into an enchanted Athenian forest, it explores love, illusion, and the unpredictable nature of desire. ❤️
Everyone involved in this show, from the actors on stage to those who controlled the spotlight, captured the magic of this show with heart, humor, and imagination. Congratulations again! 🎊
We would also like to express our gratitude to everyone who came out to support our amazing students and the live theatre.
Lindenwood University’s theatre program empowers students to develop the #powerskills necessary to own the show, both on and off stage. Join us and start shaping the stories only you can tell.

We’re thrilled to spotlight graduating senior Peter Shea, who delivered an extraordinary senior recital on April 29 in the Emerson Black Box Theater! 🎹💛
For the past three years, Peter has studied classical piano performance with Dr. Mihyun Lee (Adjunct Instructor, Performing Arts), who has been “a reliable source of high quality and sincere advice in both musical expression and professional development.” He also extends gratitude to Prof. Adam Donohue (Senior Instructor, Music) for continually inspiring excellence and experimentation and to all those who continue to support live music!
🎶 Throughout his time at Lindenwood, Peter has been an integral part of the Music Program, accompanying and performing with many different LU groups throughout the years. He also brings his talents into the community as an organist and piano instructor.
Peters senior program featured works by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, and Ravel — a journey through Baroque counterpoint, Romantic virtuosity, and 20th century color. Pieces such as Bach’s Prelude in D Minor, BWV 875 and Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin highlighted both his technical command and expressive depth.
Peter graduates this week with his Bachelor of Music and is already preparing for future recording projects, auditions, and competitions. His work embodies the #powerskills that define CAH students — creativity, discipline, communication, and artistic leadership.
Please join us in congratulating Peter on an exceptional recital and an impactful undergraduate career in the arts! We cannot wait to see where his artistry takes him next! 🌟

Our CAH Gallery has been alive recently — more than 300 visitors, dozens of conversations, and a campus buzzing with creativity thanks to the incredible resident artists from the Foundry Art Centre.
One of our favorite moments? Our Composition II dance students stepping into the gallery to find their muse. Each dancer chose a single artwork as the spark for a brand new solo — watching inspiration move from canvas to choreography was pure magic.
This is #powerskills in motion — creativity, interpretation, empathy, and innovation coming together across artistic disciplines.
At Lindenwood, Art & Design is hands on, human centered, and connected to real partners like the Foundry Art Centre. Our students don’t just study art — they live it.
Ready to explore what’s possible?

✨ Honoring Excellence in the Arts & Humanities ✨
Last Sunday, we celebrated some of the most inspiring students in the College of Arts & Humanities at Lindenwood University — and we’re still thinking about their brilliance.
Our students are the heart of everything we do. They’re writers, performers, researchers, creators, leaders — and each one is building a future shaped by curiosity, compassion, and creativity. In a world changing faster than ever, they’re developing the #powerskills that matter most.
This year’s honorees showed us what those skills look like in real time. They asked bold questions. They created meaningful work. They led with intention. They turned ideas into impact.
We couldn’t be prouder of the futures they’re already shaping and the magic they bring to our campus every day.
To our faculty, staff, families, and friends: thank you for lifting up these remarkable students. Their success is a reflection of your support and care.
If you missed the ceremony, you can still experience the celebration — watch the full event here: https://youtu.be/XxEGOLaeDKs
