This photo never ceases to crack me up but we’re here glaring at you because we waaaant you to listen to our music. Well, it’s my music I wrote it but these guys played it and I’m very grateful to them for that. I have finally recorded some of my piano trio music and I in fact have a single ready to pre-save right NOW (link in bio). I wrote this once upon a time during the pandemic when I began to feel what I believe was a semi-universal experience, and this tune, Subordinate Mind, references the frustrating feeling that our circumstances dictate how much control we have over our own minds. Anyway, it’ll be out April 17. More to come soon. Cred: Thank you to the lovely @ekspencer02 who I hired to yell at me to post on social media (it’s my nightmare). Also, she took this picture and many other more unserious ones. Also of course thank you to my good friends @ben_powell_313 and @schedrums who played bass and drums on this tune, respectively. And to the fantastic Charles Mueller (@tiny.panther.recording ), who dealt with this trio’s dynamic for an entire day while he recorded this stuff, and THEN mixed and mastered it.
