'Where Function Dreams' will be going live this Tuesday with new work by Masa Sasaki.
Atlanta, GA based ceramic artist, Masa Sasaki, is a classically trained artist; an accomplished pianist, award-winning painter and uniquely stylistic potter. Since moving from his native Japan in the late 1980's as a high school exchange student, he has been fascinated with the juncture of esthetic design and functionality. He holds a BA from Western Kentucky University and has worked in the fields of interior design, general contractor, sculpture, and functional form for over 20 years. Most recently he has focused his energy in creating ceramic work and has become one of most celebrated ceramic artists in the southeast. His unique one of a kind pieces can be found in fine arts galleries and museum stores throughout the county.

John Dix has spent the last 25 of his 35 year career in clay primarily in Japan. This has led to works that show a strong Japanese influence but still retain elements of his early training in the West.

Karin Kraemer has lived all over the country, working and exploring, but says she loves Minnesota best.
“Coming back to the north woods really has been coming home,” she says. “I moved to Duluth, Minnesota, several years ago. I love to camp, be in the woods, work in the garden, and cook. These things all come together in my work: it celebrates everything from individual flowers in my garden to landscape, good friends, and making food.”
