'Rewriting Home', by Yshao Lin @yshaolin

Through photogrammetry and interview 'Rewriting Home' maps uncertainty and struggles of Asian communities living and working in the UK. Building fragile, navigable environments, Yshao created a landscape where conversation could surface. The project reframes domestic space as a provisional atlas of belonging.

'Misused Margins', by Sara Omar @seasonedsaraa , supervised at SOS25

This is a project that centers dialogue as a design tool, bringing together an interview series featuring collectives and individuals practicing resistance against gentrification and social erasure. Teasing apart the concept of ownership and management of community centres, parks, and our streets using traditional and non-traditional methods, this project aims to build an archive of marginalised existence on ‘public land’

Come join us for a flexible 1 or 2 day week to develop your art and design projects, supported by peers, and joined by experts and cutting edge community-based designers.

As part of SOS-25 we will convene a our first Ethics Workshop on Community Engagement, giving you a chance to share, explore and learn approaches to involving other people in your creative works.
At SOS-25 we will practice our digital media making in Visual Communication to refine your project's funding and partnership appeal in the second of our Tech Workshops.
