First page of Dvorak. New Yearās resolution is to play more āseriousā repertoire and get to my cello goals. So although there are flaws, (intonation, uncoordinated notes, unengaged bow hand) there are also some things that I worked on in my practice session that Iām happy with. Trying to take some technical aspects Iām applying on the violin as a developing player to the cello and vice versa. Finally clicked towards the hand with putting all my weight into the string. Much easier to do with longer arms than I have on cello and gravity on violin. Would like to say Iāll post every day but probably wonātā¦will try to do a few times a week. I really never post videos of me playing for a variety of reasons but I want to change that! Yesterday I explored some new bowings for the Bach G major prelude. I am trying to project more and find a bigger sound with my new cello. However, I am struggling with projection and still finding delicate sounds. Iām not sure if this bow is making the sound too beefy. I will try with the lighter bow. I want to find more freedom within in the larger rhythmical structures, this is so difficult! Perhaps I will post soon a new version with edits.
