We've been together for half my life, and I've known her for even longer, yet every day still feels like a new adventure. From being children to having children, from humble beginnings to struggling day-to-day, through easy fun times and difficult hard times, I've always managed to hold it down because I have a strong, intelligent, beautiful woman waiting for me at home with a never ending smile and a spark for life that is unmatched. Jen makes me feel like the day is over, like I'm back in my comfort zone, like the only thing left to do is exhale and live in the present.
We bonded over our shared love of coffee, conversation, and kindness. We connected over shared heartbreaks, transitions into adulthood, and the end of our teenage eras. We grew through financial struggles, dead end jobs, career shifts, and starting a family. We shared losses, gains, and ruts, but always find time to remind each other why we are here and why we are together. My best friend for life, my teammate, my cornerstone, my wife, my love! Here's to 20 years more and 20 years more after that!
