In this video I attempt a major engine swap on my 3D printed Toyota Supra RC car by replacing the original Sento nitro engine with a much larger Toyan 4 cylinder gasoline engine. The Toyan engine is significantly bigger and more powerful, which means the chassis needs serious modifications before it can fit inside the engine bay.
To solve the fitment problem, I used the Revopoint INSPIRE 2 3D scanner to scan the Toyan 4 cylinder engine and create a precise digital model. After scanning the engine, I imported the 3D scan into SketchUp to test the engine fitment inside the RC Supra chassis.
Using the digital model, I was able to see exactly where the engine interferes with the chassis and suspension components. This allowed me to plan the modifications before physically cutting or redesigning parts.

showing how I upgraded my RC car with a fully functional front brake system. The brake caliper uses replaceable pads, and the metal rotors give it a realistic braking effect. I connect it to a 20 kg servo that pulls a steel cable, engaging the brakes smoothly.
