Proud to Finally show and Announce the worlds first pair of High Definition High end SBS Slammer R.T Series 215DR (Direct Radiating) Near Field monitors offered as a Tri Amp system soon to debut Outdoors @nowadaysnyc@mistersundaynyc@mistereamonharkin@misterjustincarter in Ridgewood Queens.
The R.T Series 215DR will pair up with the SBS Slammer SL32 bass horns shown in the last pic under the custom console.
The R.T 215DR 2 way monitors have a freq response of 40Hz to 18Khz and will be voiced to be a mirror image of the R.T Series Ground stacks with the same compression Driver and S2Pro SBS Designs Ref monitor Class AB Amplifier.
The new 2022 Prototype SBS Slammer SFX3 electronic X-Over has been updated and totally changed internally for near field monitoring to give an even more open, gentle and a relaxed voice to take the ear fatigue off the djs ears ROCKIN from high SPL near field monitors at the end of a set!
I am expecting the Talent to be able to play with even greater levels of performance hearing deeper into the production with more emotion spinning at Nowadays with this new Ref system in the booth.
I am so excited to have a full proprietary showroom at Nowadays in nyc, with my hand choice of drivers to give the finest resolution and one of the most unique sonic signatures to dance to and play on!

Subbass upgrades, i just replaced the top Crown MA5002 with the first of 3 5002 amps for REX this first one runs the Orig Levan under the stage.
I noticed a significant diff in output and sound quality hitting more Sq on your chest with far greater synergy with the midbass on REX.
Hearing more detail in the low end esp with Live bass.
for a while i noticed the corner subs having a more harder edge low end, which should not be this is due to age amp from nearly 30 yrs old.
being the other. 2 5002 amps are on the bench they are being matched to each other and will be able to hit them harder with much more drive something i can not do now.
Once these corner horns have fresh rebuilt amps and how the Orig Levan under the stage are at 100% REX will sound like never before !

A few days ago, though, I finally had the opportunity to experience “REX.” Shorty was playing both vinyl records and hi-res digital files, and by the time I walked in, the music was already in full swing and the system was pumping. The room was completely filled with sound.
The detail across the frequency range was incredible — everything sat exactly where it should. The separation between instruments was off the charts. Whether listening to vinyl or digital files, there was virtually no difference in quality; each format was reproduced exceptionally well. The dynamics and imaging were absolutely insane. I was hearing elements and nuances in songs I’ve listened to a gazillion times that I had never noticed before.
“REX” also has tremendous headroom to spare. This is a true high-end audiophile sound system on steroids. Vocal tracks filled the room effortlessly, while the low-end bass frequencies hit with power, precision, and control. The delivery and timing of the frequencies arriving from the speakers to the center of the dance floor were perfectly aligned — something that takes a tremendous amount of skill and time to achieve correctly. The system responds incredibly fast to changes within the music, reacting with accuracy and clarity at every moment.
Shorty’s attention to detail is the reason he has been able to accomplish what he has over the years. This was actually my third time in the room, and each visit I’ve noticed upgrades and refinements to the system. Every time, it has gotten better. What you hear in “REX” is the result of passion, determination, experience, and dedication.
This system is truly amazing, and knowing there is still more to come makes me excited with anticipation. At this moment, it is by far the best sound system I’ve heard in a very long time.
