One of my favorite things to do when I taught in the traditional classroom was to bring in guest artists that my students could learn from. It’s now my goal to bring you artists that I love and admire on here to help you grow in your craft. So, I am super stoked to announce that @sbronfen will join me for my first ever IG LIVE next week. If you don’t already know, Skye is one of the best Fight & Intimacy Directors out there. I couldn’t have done one of my toughest roles without her caring guidance and expertise. I learned SO much from her and I know you will too!

6 fights for 12 students. So many punches. So many struggles. So many hair pulls. And plenty of joint locks, knees, elbows, kicks, and chokes along the way. The unarmed test for @nycmarymount is about 3 weeks away and these students are getting ready to throw down! (Pun absolutely intended because I’m not a coward).
PS: a massive thank you to @nobledynamic for teaching me how to write fights out in a way that makes sense! Organization (and coffee) are saving my brain right now.
Back at The Goodspeed Opera House for Jesus Christ Superstar tech and first performance! So excited to see everything come together with this amazing cast and crew!

Looked at my calendar and realized it’s my first day off in 3 weeks. I have been been booked and blessed as the kids say: teaching movement, stage combat, and theatrical intimacy to my wonderful students at Marymount, training to Connecticut to do fights for Jesus Christ Superstar at The Goodspeed, oodles of kisses as intimacy director for Drunk Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, being arm candy for @hannahroccisano at the opening night of Cats: The Jellicle Ball, creating violence with my loved ones at The Stage Combat Workshop at Louisiana Tech State University, and thanking my mother @hhgcsr profusely for all of her help taking care of a sweet cat who wasn’t feeling well while I was gone.
I am grateful and exhausted and happy to have a slow day of rest ☺️

My grandmother passed peacefully in her sleep yesterday at the ripe age of 105. She was an amazing woman who leaves behind a legacy of a great life and a wonderful family. I’m sure she’s with grandpa again reminding the absent minded professor not to leave the house without socks and organizing the angels into arts and crafts clubs. Thank you for all the love and gifts you gave the world ❤️❤️❤️
