LIFE UPDATE! 🤍
So, as some of you may know.. earlier this month it was my turn to switch sides and tie the knot with my best friend.
It was an incredible day at the stunning @wyresdaleweddings captured beautifully by the two legends behind @adamandoliviaco
We had @victoria_rflowers transform the place with HUNDREDS of colourful flowers, candles and disco balls - and enjoyed SO MUCH entertainment from @whattheplucksq /@dizzybrasscals / @itsrobashton and @dj_davidpullan
Played golf with @justforyouroccasion and scranned some unbelievable burgers from @thestripedkitchen 🍔

Check out my story and Google reviews page for my first ever 1 star review - from someone who wasn’t even at the Wedding!
I woke up this morning to find two reviews over Google and Facebook, and a disgruntled comment on my previous post. Upon some investigation, I managed to find the person, and their contact information so thought I’d give them a polite call to chat. Nothing aggressive, just a chat to explain my position, and politely ask them to revoke their review. Would you believe it, they also run a small business!
The call wasn’t received well - not much was said on my part other than introducing myself. I was spoken at (rudely), and heard all about how horrendous it is to live next to a new Wedding Venue. I was told about previous events (nothing to do with me) and told that I should “look into the legalities of what I’m doing”. I was then hung up on…
I followed up the call with a polite message. It expressed sympathy for her position, apologised for any part I had to play in disturbing the peace, but also outlined the extent of my liability to ensure that me, my equipment, and clients are safe. I simply asked for the reviews to be removed from my pages as the situation has nothing to do with me as an external supplier.
It was greeted with a simple message which said “please do not contact me again.”
So. It’s safe to say the review isn’t going anywhere - I thought therefore it’s a chance to talk about it, celebrate a new milestone review, and embrace the fact that you can’t please everyone! I won’t be retaliating with a negative review of her cleaning business as it’s something I know very little about or talking about the legalities of an industry I’m not involved in - I’ll just leave that review to sit on my page forever, and hope that the majority of readers find it amusing.
Despite the “extremely loud microphone” and “thudding music”, I really do hope they appreciated my selection of songs - it’s safe to say the people who wanted to hear it did! 🎉
