our debut grape sheter placed inside an abandoned classroom’s ruins.

build by a super fast ring lock scaffolding structural system. wrapped by dry-construction materials like polycarbonate roof and expanded metal floor to give a good quality of natural lights and natural airflows for the grape trees.

will be used as a home for grape trees display lab and an educative garden for local students.

This year, I’m choosing to return to the mindset of a “professional amateur.”
Last fall felt like diving into an ocean of knowledge and curiosity — overwhelming, yet deeply refreshing. Thank you, GSAPP.
After six years of running SB301 Office, including the last two remotely from New York, I feel it is time to pause, reflect, and realign.
Through this post, I’d like to share that SB301 Office will not be accepting architectural commissions throughout 2025.
During this study period, I want to focus on learning rather than producing, with the hope of returning with clearer direction, stronger values, and better architecture.
Thank you to everyone who has supported and collaborated with SB301 Office over the years.

We rarely do house projects, but when we do, we just go for it :p. This project is located in the western part of Jakarta. It was designed as a prototype for a housing project that will hopefully be built later this year.
No special concept except optimizing how sunlight and natural airflow infiltrate the building (celebrating tropicality), as well as trying to keep the building as modular as possible to achieve easy buildability (and budget efficiency).
ps :
No need to brand yourself as a tropical architect, because every Indonesian architect practicing in Indonesia is supposed to be tropical, right?
