It’s taken a few months but I’m very happy to be finally sharing some before and after photos of my own bedroom transformation.
Yes, it is ridiculously big! It would have been the main living room when the house was built, hence all the very impressive ornate plasterwork. We originally painted the walls in @farrowandball Green Smoke but after a few water leaks from the roof, we had the opportunity to rethink the design. I felt I wanted to create a more vibrant space and try and make the room feel a little less cavernous.
One of the biggest decisions was painting the ceiling and plasterwork in pale pink (Scallop) but I’m so glad we did as this wash of colour across the ceiling has really given the room a much cosier feel. The walls are painted in Oval Room Blue and the Ikea wardrobes were given a lick of paint in an archive colour by Farrow & Ball called Sloe Blue.
The curtains were also a big consideration due to the number of windows. The trailing leaf pattern (from @warnerhouse_1870 ) in a golden yellow colour brings so much warmth, even when it’s a grey day outside, it feels sunny inside. We took some risks by including quite a lot of bold fabric patterns, but I think these have really helped to bring the room to life. The room feels happy now, which makes me feel happy spending time in it 😊
With thanks to the very excellent @kindlendecorators for the brilliant and careful job on all the paintwork.

The colour brown has been a hot topic in the interiors industry for a while now so I thought I’d test it out in my own home. My bathroom was in desperate need of a paint, and although brown may not be the first colour to spring to mind for a bathroom (insert jokes here….), I thought I’d give it a try.
I chose a lovely dark chocolate brown from @littlegreenepaintcompany called Attic II and teamed it with a beautiful fluted vanity unit from @ospreyfurniture painted in @farrowandball Oval Room Blue, then added some pink accents.
I had always associated brown with the 1970’s, where it was usually paired with gold, but this is a new dawn for brown…….it feels smart, contemporary, warm and bold. Could brown be the new grey?? Are you on the brown bandwagon?? Answers below please 😊

It’s been a very busy summer at Saving Graces HQ, working on the renovation of a beautiful four bedroom period property in the heart of St Andrews. In May, I was given a four month deadline to complete the full renovation and I’m delighted to say that today we have finished, and a week early!
I’ve been very fortunate to work with wonderful clients on this project, who trusted me to design and co-ordinate the work on their behalf. I also worked with an amazing team of tradesmen, all of whom went above and beyond to complete the work on time. A massive thank you to @whittons_flooring_ltd@rgeorgepainters Guild Plumbing, J. Milne Electrical and most of all, my right-hand man, Neil Gherxi, joiner extraordinaire and absolute top bloke.
I’ll be posting a few pics of the property over the next few days. Here are some before and afters of the living room, which might well be one of my favourite transformations ever! Happy weekend all 😊
Designing the Space
Creating Westend Wellness ✨✨
Think warm neutrals, soft lighting, and natural textures. A space that invites you to exhale the moment you step inside.
Working alongside Antonia from @savinggracesinteriors , I knew she would truly understand the vision. There’s a shared appreciation for creating spaces that feel both intentional and effortless. Where nothing is overdone, yet everything has purpose.
This is more than a studio. It’s a place to reconnect with yourself. To move, to breathe, to reset. Whether you come for a class, a moment of stillness, or simply a change of pace, the experience is designed to stay with you long after you leave.
A space you come to for movement but return to for how it makes you feel ⭐️⭐️
Over the weekend, The Sunday Times named the West End of Dundee as the coolest place to live in Scotland (obvs 😉). The beating heart of Dundee’s West End has to be @the_speedwell_bar (aka ‘Mennies’). A family run pub, beloved by locals and tourists alike.
The Speedwell is one of the finest examples of an Edwardian bar, the quality of the interior is even listed. It has been an absolute pleasure to assist with the interior upgrades over the past few years. The most recent of which is the new chequerboard flooring, installed at the end of last year 🖤🤍

I’m delighted to share a couple of photos of a recently completed project on the outskirts of St Andrews.
This traditional farm cottage has been extended and modernised by the brilliant @fifearchitects . The owners asked me to assist them with choosing various pieces of furniture and soft furnishings to complete the design of the interior. It was a pleasure to help turn this property into a home.
Stunning photos by @katie_pryde_photography , more to come next week.
Happy weekend all 😊

One of my most rewarding projects this year has been working with a local care home in Dundee. We have been updating the interior over the last few months on floors 1,2 and 3.
Moving away from the existing grey colour palette, we have given each floor its own unique colour combination. These photos show the before and after shots of floor 2, using a rich, dark blue colour on the new wall panelling, patterned pelmets above the windows, and a pop of pink with the new kitchen cabinets. Plus some pretty new floral art prints.
My hope is that the bright new interior will promote a sense of wellbeing for the residents. There is still work to be done, but I, along with the owners, are keen to create a home from home experience. For these residents, in the latter stages of life, we hope to provide an environment that is calm, comfortable, timeless and beautiful.
This little study room at the back of our house had been languishing in all its wood chip glory for the past 10 years but we finally got round to transforming it earlier in the year. Still not quite finished as we need some artwork for the back wall but almost there!
From outside the house, we could see that there had originally been two skylights in the roof so we decided to re-instate these and raise the ceiling height which has made such a huge difference 😊
