Jax's Story: from Surviving to Thriving🐾
Jax was our second foster—but our first medical foster—just three months old when we brought him home from Saving Grace in May 2025. He was incredibly sick: emaciated, covered in mange, and suffering from a severe respiratory infection that turned into pneumonia. He lay in his crate struggling to breathe, with a deep, painful cough—it was heartbreaking to watch.❤️🩹
With six weeks of medications, vet visits, baths, and constant care, Jax slowly began to recover. There were moments I wasn’t sure he would make it, and I shed more than a few tears. But then his spark returned. He started acting like a happy puppy again, and the joy came back to his eyes. Jax was one of the most challenging yet rewarding fosters I’ve ever had. When he was ready, he was adopted the same day he returned to the farm—finally finding the loving home he deserved.✨
Since then, I’ve continued fostering, welcoming many different pups into our home. Each one is unique, and every experience is rewarding. I’m grateful to play even a small part in their journey on the way to their forever homes.

The sweetness of Crepes never disappoints! This fun-loving lab mix is ready to find her forever family! At about 35 lbs with room to grow, Crepes is the perfect mix of playful energy and cuddle-time sweetness. She absolutely loves other dogs, so if you already have a pup (or two!) at home, Crepes says “yes please!”
According to her weekend sleepover feedback, she’s got amazing house manners, walks nicely on leash, loves kids, and is gentle, tolerant, and affectionate with everyone she meets. From backyard zoomies to soaking up attention at the park, Crepes is truly the perfect blend of savory and sweet.

This sweet Shepherd mix came to us after Molly spotted her at a shelter with a severe injury to her right hind leg. Claire had been living in pain for quite some time before finally getting the medical care she needed at Saving Grace.
After her amputation surgery, Claire is now happy, comfortable, and thriving! Tripod dogs are incredibly resilient, and Claire is already proving just how strong and joyful they can be. ❤️

Healing Clyde❤️🩹
I have fostered over a hundred dogs from Saving Grace– and don’t plan to stop. Every dog deserves to know what love feels like, especially those who have been overlooked or are hurting the most. Fostering can be emotional and, at times, takes a toll, but it provides a safe place when they have nowhere else to go. I give a piece of myself to each foster with a gentle hand, helping ease their pain, and showing them, they matter. Even if you can’t change their whole story, you can add happiness to today, changing their future. That means everything to me.
Clyde came to me in rough shape. His skin was painful and irritated, and he just looked… tired. Life had been hard on him for a long time, but there was a softness in his eyes– a quiet sweetness that could not be denied.
With treatment and care from the clinic, he slowly began to change– both physically and emotionally. He became more comfortable, more trusting, and his true self started to emerge. Watching his coat finally start to grow back was a huge milestone. He wasn’t hurting anymore– he was healing.
Medical care gave Clyde something he may have never had before—comfort. Treating his skin and getting him neutered, improved his health, but more importantly it gave him relief, dignity, and the ability to truly enjoy life. He could finally rest. He could just be himself. Because of that, Clyde’s next chapter will be filled with love, safety, and a home of his own.💙
I had the privilege of fostering and then calling Clyde my own for a year and a half. I wish we had more time together, but I know in my heart those were the best years of his life. That’s what rescue is all about. Even though Clyde has now crossed the rainbow bridge, I carry him with me every day. I remember the care and compassion we all gave him at Saving Grace.✨
