Visual world of ‘NERVOUS’ and my first solo show in Tokyo is open until July 12. I want to share this from a more personal side. But anyway I always feel that all types of descriptions are wrong. This project is built on a reinterpretation of my almost lifelong photography archive that has more than 1.5 million images. They come from different contexts, different people, different moments but mostly from quite intimate experiences of connection and within one generation I am a part of and I feel connected to. So I can say youth and stages of transformation is the basement. At its core, NERVOUS is about what we hide - and what slowly drains us over time. The way it disconnects us from our real intentions, from our perception, from our sense of purpose. I see how many people become internally disoriented. Unable to reveal who they are / What they feel / What they truly want. This project is an attempt to reveal that hidden layer. To explore the emotional state of our generation - especially its more fragile, sensitive side. The part that is often suppressed but defines our energy, our intentions, and the atmosphere of our everyday life. I’m also trying to approach something that is almost impossible to explain - The inner dialogue we carry. The quiet, constant pressure that becomes a form of hidden suffering and adaptation that paralyzes the expression. And how, over time, it blocks our real path. NERVOUS brings together two interlinked projects into a single perceptual field shaped by pressure - the pressure of contemporary space on perception, attention, clarity, and the ability to sustain deeper thought. The exhibition unfolds as an environment of perceptual disorientation, where depth, connection, and dialogue begin to erode. At its core, NERVOUS explores emotional states that resist articulation - sensations that exist within consciousness and the body, yet evade language. These are moments of misalignment, when the self and the world fall out of sync. Across 99 works, the project traces fragments of lived experience, examining the fragility of perception and the ongoing search for inner voice, identity, and connection. … Within this framework, What Are They Going Through (WATGT) series emerges as a sub-context of NERVOUS. It reflects on the gradual loss of connection between an individual and their own voice - the slow silencing of desire, imagination, and intention. NERVOUS WATGT 2024–2025–2026–2027 : multidisciplinary world – BTS / documentation process / fixation of stages ‘ I keep working on the NERVOUS visual universe and on the multidisciplinary project What Are They Going Through. Both trajectories connect with each other and expand the forms of the projects. And each realistic element is coming from my personal photography archive. Both are based on natural impulses of visual expression, emotion - when the soul tells how the line should go, and when it is truly inexplicable and impossible to describe. When it exists only in that visual state, accumulating the pressure and dissonance of the moment, of a fragile ‘now’ - and presenting through the connection of photographic and graphic languages, combined within multidisciplinary stages and layers that are more sincerely released than designed. I’m coming closer to the point where I’ll be revealing this whole story and I’m excited. _ All I show now is part of some stage documentation, presented in a chaotic way. I stay true to the craft that I love and I feel the touches. All other forms are giving me experiences that help me shape my visual language and I love them too. No need to explain.
