#Repost @shizzyswildcatrescue ・・・ Pictures of a rare black tiger that was spotted in Odisha in 2019 went viral on Thursday as netizens found themselves discussing about the big cat on the internet constantly. Soumen Bajpayee, an amateur wildlife photographer, photographed the melanistic tiger at Simlipal Reserve and Nandankanan Sanctuary in eastern Odisha in April 2019 and had shared the images on Instagram. More than a year later, pictures of the black tiger became a subject of discussion on the internet and went crazy viral. /amp/s/www.indiatoday.in/amp/trending-news/story/rare-black-tiger-in-odisha-clicked-by-amateur-photographer-old-pics-go-viral-1738250-2020-11-05 #ShizzysWildcatRescue #ShizzysWildcatRescueNC #IPromiseWeWillGetThere #Tiger #Lion #Jaguar #Leopard #BigCatsOfInstagram #CatsOfInstagram

#Repost @shizzyswildcatrescue ・・・ Jaguar trotting down a Highway, in Nayarit, Mexico. For this reason, it is very important to study wild jaguar regional populations in order to obtain data about them, have a better understanding about the ecology of the populations across the country and create conservation strategies that guarantee connectivity between biological corridors, building wildlife crossing bridges and viaducts strategically located. Unfortunately that’s the main problem, currently wildlife crossings are usually drains or narrow tunnels that easily lose their efficiency, federal or state governments do not force the study and evaluation process for specific species as well as the construction of specialized wildlife crossings under the required criteria. At the end this is convenient for the construction companies, it’s cheaper and if these studies and infrastructures aren’t included in the executive project it is almost impossible to build them later. 🐆🇲🇽 — Video posted by: Alianza Jaguar AC and Jaguares sin Protección AC. #Repost @a_lallie_2 ・・・ ⚠️PANTANAL FIRES⚠️ . _ Please ❗️DONATE❗️ to help #Animals suffering in the Pantanal fires. Link in my @a_lallie_2 bio at the top of my page. Thanks so much. _ The media aren’t covering this as all they care about is a certain virus but the #Pantanal (the world’s largest tropical wetlands) are burning. The animals are suffering in silence so we need to help through raising funds and raising awareness. _ #Animals are being burned alive 💔🥺 Please help me to help those on the frontlines battling the fires and saving the animals. These fires are far bigger than the California fires but they’re getting little attention. _ As per my previous post where I said the leading cause of #Wildlife decline is #AnimalAgriculture because clearing land for cattle grazing and cattle feed is causing habitat loss, this is another example. _ Humans deliberately set these fires to clear land for cattle farming for the meat industry and now they’re burning out of control causing terrified wild animals to suffer unimaginably while attempting to escape. _ As always I care about getting funds directly to those helping as opposed to giving them to massive organisations where they’ll just get swallowed up in administrative costs so donated funds will go to local rescues, individual volunteers, veterinarians and grassroots organisations who are on the frontlines. Please share this campaign and donate. Every donation counts. Thank you. _ #a_lallie_2

Swipe left—-> #Repost @shizzyswildcatrescue ・・・ These images from @shaazjung show us how agile these animals actually are to come down from trees face down. These animals are meant to climb and live life in trees and ground levels. It is so interesting to see how this midsized big cat has created a way for it to survive for so long wit these tactics. • The crow and the sparrow, the ghost and the shadow. . . #shaazjung #nikon #leopard #blackpanther #wildlife #nature #instagram #shizzyswildcatrescue

#Repost @mountainlionfoundation ・・・ We are happy to share some great news. AB 1788 has passed through the Legislature and is on its way to Governor Newsom's desk! Monday night, with less than two hours to go before session end, it passed both houses. Assembly 53-17 Senate 23-7. Once signed by Governor Newsom, this bill will curtail the use of many deadly rodenticides in California, once again making California a leader in proactively protecting California’s mountain lions as well as all other wildlife that would be killed by these deadly chemicals. We thank you, our supporters for taking action to encourage all of the legislators on both sides of the aisle to vote for AB1788 and we especially thank Assemblymember Richard Bloom for bringing this bill forward and working so diligently to get it passed.
