___ Ever since I first discovered RADWIMPS in the summer I was 17, the band has been the greatest, most meaningful, and most deeply loved presence in my life. The final show of the 20th ANNIVERSARY LIVE TOUR was a stage built with everything Yojiro, Takeda, and the entire RAD team had poured their hearts and lives into. On such an extraordinary day, standing on that stage again with the two of them for the first time in ten years, and playing our debut song, "25コ目の染色体," filled me with a joy beyond words. Supported by the incredible sound and presence of Mizuki, Masafumi, and Jun, I felt almost strangely at ease. I was able to be completely myself, simply making honest, beautiful music together with everyone. That I was able to reach this moment, one of the happiest of my life, is entirely because of you who received our music and loved it. Thank you, truly, for finding RADWIMPS. I’m so glad I made it through to this point! #RADWIMPS

Thank you so much for all the warm birthday messages✨ “To contribute to a society where musicians can continue to enjoy music purely and sustainably.” This is the mission that naturally emerged within me as I gave everything I had throughout my 40th year. Over the next year, I want to keep taking action with this belief at the center of my life 🔥 And of course, the very first step is for me to fully enjoy music myself. I’m really looking forward to seeing you again on stage ☺️

A few more moments from our special evening with Satoshi Yamaguchi. Following the presentation and performance, Shigehisa Kuriyama, Director of the Reischauer Institute, had the opportunity to meet Yamaguchi-san and thank him personally for sharing his story of resilience and innovation with the Harvard community. From thoughtful conversation to a captivating live demonstration of the VXD system, the evening brought together music and science in a truly memorable way. 📸 Photos by Marissa Fiorucci #山口智史 #SatoshiYamaguchi #VXD #YAMAHA #RADWIMPS

The Harvard Gazette has published a closer look at drummer Satoshi Yamaguchi of RADWIMPS following the Reischauer Institute’s February 12 event that featured his story and a selection of live music. In “The sound stopped suddenly,” the article explores how a rare neurological condition interrupted Yamaguchi’s ability to play — and how collaboration between artists, clinicians, and researchers helped him return to music. The piece reflects on the intersection of performance, innovation, and resilience that was central to the February discussion. Hi folks!! Sorry for the late notice, but… Join the University of Windsor as we host a public lecture with Satoshi Yamaguchi, drummer for Japanese rock band RADWIMPS. 🥁 🧠 🗓️ February 23 | 1 - 2:30 pm 📍Alan Wildeman Centre for Creative Arts, Room 107 🎟️ Free and open to the public After developing musician’s dystonia, Yamaguchi helped pioneer voice-controlled drums that allowed him to return to performance, and reshaped how we think about musician health. Yamaguchi’s research-led journey connects him to UWindsor through a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) partnership development grant, through which UWindsor HK professor Dr. Nadia Azar and her collaborators across Canada expanded The Canadian Percussion Network. It was my first time on the East Coast of the U.S and I have already fallen completely in love with Boston 😂 Both lectures were completely full. I received many thoughtful and concrete questions about my large scale survey research on drummers and VXD! The conversations became deeper and more specific than I could have hoped for. I was able to stay for several days, which gave me time to visit a number of labs at both universities. Speaking with professors and lab members, receiving advice for the next phase of my research, and discussing potential collaborations was incredibly meaningful. Including Stanford, this trip was never meant to be a one time visit. I came with the intention of building long term relationships with each university, and I truly felt that momentum beginning to grow. That made me very happy. “Sharing questions and exploring them together.” That is the true joy of science. And of course, the legendary MIT Banana Lounge with unlimited bananas. For someone who loves bananas as much as I do, it honestly felt like heaven 🍌✨ I will definitely be back in Boston for research in the near future 🥁🔥 #VXD
