What a day it was. We started out in Triacastela in the pouring rain, geared up with al the raingear we had and hiked up and down on farm roads and mud paths. We stopped for coffee around 11 am and then continued rain free! We arrived happy in Sarria and celebrated with our traditional beer that got us all happy! 😃 Camino we love you!

And here we went again! Approximately 23km. Some up, lots down from O Cebreiro to Triacastela.
We had an awesome lunch in the sunshine and arrived in our next destination for a nice beer in a small beer garden.

Today we left Las Herrerias after a good night sleep and amazing food to head up the hills. Short on kilometers but rich on elevation! Arrived in O Cebreiro for a lunch break and lots of time to spare!

Today we headed out of Villafranca del Bierzo at 9 am, being lost for a short moment but then remembering that when in question head for the church. After 20 km of a lot of walk by the roadside with mixed weather we arrived in Las Herrerias. BUT HAD GREAT pizza at the Rock’n Roll Pizza place, with awesome dessert.

Day 3 from El Acebo to Ponteferrada. The weather is still a mixed bag and we continue to go through many dress ups and downs.

Today we went from Rabanal del Camino to Acebo. Lots of up and down with tons of rocks under our boots. Sprinkled with rain, wind and sun.

So finally after getting over the jet lag, traveling to our starting point and meeting up with the rest of our group of 6 Canadian ladies we finished our first 21 km from Astorga to Rabanal del Camino.
