Cheers to all the folks who bring their heart to work everyday. Let’s keep showing up for each other❤️
We are thrilled to announce @chefmamacass2 is a @beardfoundation finalist for outstanding chef in the whole darn country! Losing our minds excited over here! Big congrats to her, Team Sarma and all the wonderful folks on this list.
Chicago here we come 🎉
We were recently featured in the @bostonglobe ’s newsletter @bostonbside amongst other restaurants where it is very tricky to land a reservation. We figured this may be a good time to share some details and stats about walking into Sarma!
🧿 Every night, we enthusiastically welcome guests to walk in to sit at our 20 seat bar and our high top tables. We also will seat parties who are waiting as a walk-in in our dining room if someone does not show up for their reservation
🧿 We highly recommend not trying to “time” your arrival at Sarma strategically, as we actually have quite short average wait times - under 30 minutes Sunday through Thursday and just under an hour on Friday and Saturday. These numbers are from our reservation system - Resy
🧿 On Friday and Saturday, we try our best to hold a few extra dining room tables for walk-ins during the first seating to handle the demand early in the evening
🧿 If you and your party do you end up waiting for a table or bar seats, we offer the full cocktail menu that you’re welcome to order from while you wait. If we are able to secure you a spot along our standing rails, we will also provide you a snack menu starting at 5:30 with shareable bites from the kitchen
🧿 We run two separate waitlists. The waitlist at the host stand is for our high top tables and any cancellations in the dining room, and the waitlist run by the bartenders is strictly for the 20 seats on the bar. The waitlist on the bar tends to move quite a bit quicker, and we therefore recommend putting your name on both, especially if your party is a two top
🧿 Friday and Saturday are the busiest nights of the week, so we do seat the bar when we open, as there is generally a long line
I think that is it! In summation: reservations disappear very quickly but we have a ton of walk-in space, so swing by and have some dinner! Comment below with any questions!
