So clearly there’s been a change around here šŸ¤” I don’t know how many of you have been here from the beginning (though I know there’s a fair number), but over the years this account has grown from a place to share cute pictures of my dog Taco to a very special corner of the internet with a warm and wonderful community. As you may know, I am a pediatric and family dietitian. That means I help parents navigate the feeding journey for the family. Over the last year or so I’ve taken my previously unstructured private client business and put some actual thought behind how I want my business to look. I’ve come to realize that I am my brand. I’m not everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s okay. I’m a mom, a wife, a business owner, a progressive, Jew from New York City with a dry wit and a penchant for tangential rants.Ā  I’m also really good at what I do and for a lot of parents struggling with feeding their kids, I’m just right. So I want to share that with more people. And this account, thanks to all of you, has presence.Ā  What this means: Everything that has been will continue. The stories and daily nonsense. That’s not going anywhere. Connecting with you in stories is why I keep coming back to this app. There will also be more in-feed content (if I can get my shit together) about feeding kids and for those who are having feeding struggles they’ll be able to get help.Ā  I so enjoy sharing my life with you and what I do with parents is a big part of my life so I appreciate you letting me share it with you too. If you’ve been here since the Taco the City Dog days, share your favorite Taco memory in the comments 😊 If you’re new, share what you’re excited for from me coming up! šŸ™ƒ

I get it, I’ve been there!šŸ‘‹šŸ¼ As a once and always fat kid, I want to be the registered dietitian that I wish I’d had as a kid. I want to give parents the support that I wish my parents had. I want to give kids the tools to feel confident and fuel their growing bodies. šŸ“šŸ„‘ Food can be fun and there are many ways I incorporate fun for the whole family at mealtime! Whether it’s adding a #snunch (my own fav term for a snack + lunch), letting your kids cook with you, or letting them PLAY, we’re looking to help you take the stress out of mealtime šŸ½ļø Take a look around my profile to see ways to work with me, my favorite picky eater tips, and some shifts you might want to make around mealtime and food pressures. And when you’re ready, head to my bio or DM me to learn more about how I can help your family! #snunchisthenewsnack #funwithfood #pickyeaters #loveitlikeitlearningit #dietitianforkids #confidenteating #fuelyourbody

Feeding kids can be HARD. And tedious at best (let’s be honest) some days.šŸ˜… Stress around your kid’s eating has a ripple effect that can make everything about feeding frustrating and leave you dreading mealtime. Whether you’re looking to add more variety to your child’s diet without adding pressure to mealtime, you’re navigating a food allergy or sensitivity, or mealtime just makes you want to tear your hair out…I’ve got you šŸ™ŒšŸ¼ Swipe all the way through to see the ways I can support you and your familyšŸŽšŸ„‘ Head to my the link in my bio to learn more!šŸ”— #funwithfood #pickyeaters #loveitlikeitlearningit #dietitianforkids #confidenteating #snunchisthenewsnack

Meal planning is only about 30% about the actual food. The rest is about: • fewer decisions at the end of the day • kids knowing what to expect • less emotional chaos • fewer ā€œwhat’s for dinner?ā€ questions Even writing down ā€œchicken nuggetsā€ helps — not because it’s fancy, but because predictability matters. That’s the kind of meal planning I teach in my free training: Meal Planning for Real Life. šŸ‘‰ Link in bio (No perfection allowed šŸ˜‰) #realLifeMealPlanning #feedingkids #parentmentalhealth #familydinner #antidietparenting

Breaking news: If you put snack foods on a plate and add a fruit/veg and protein/fat… it magically becomes a meal. Welcome to SNUNCH — the official snack-lunch hybrid for the next time your kid asks for a snack. ā€œYes andā€ the snack: Balance it, plate it, sit it. It’s low-effort, high-win parenting at its finest. #snunch #makesnunchathing

Sometimes all it takes is… themed plates. šŸŽƒ In this case, it’s an unexpected and delightful bag of Halloween party supplies that landed in my hands and nudged me to make Tuesday’s breakfast a little more fun. These goodies were gifted by the incredible @ivyandbugz — a curated, pre-made party favors + themed supplies company that makes celebrating anything easier. You can use their sets for a party… or, like I did, to turn an ordinary Tuesday morning into a full-on Halloween breakfast moment. šŸ‘» There’s nothing like a last minute task to hit the ADHD adrenaline button…cut to me at the grocery store at 7 p.m. last night, Googling ā€œHalloween breakfast ideasā€ and baking spinach chocolate chip monster muffins 🫠 This morning? Breakfast was so fun and the muffins were a total hit. Sometimes all it takes is a spark — a themed plate, a festive napkin, a tiny push — to make the everyday feel like a celebration. 🧁✨ And if you want to grab your own Halloween supplies, you can use my code SARIHALLOWEEN20 for 20% off all Halloween party favors and supplies from Ivy & Bugz! They have same-day delivery in Manhattan! šŸŽƒšŸ•øļø

Summer 2025. The summer we lived at the farm so we could start construction, but they didn’t start until almost after we got home, but it was okay because it was actually a really really nice (dare I say golden šŸ˜‰) summer āœØšŸ¤

Sometimes your adhd bites you in the butt and the only way out is through šŸ˜… We move in to our rental apartment (while we renovate our apartment) tomorrow. We were told it had been cleaned, but it’s our fault for not double checking (and we should have scheduled a deep clean on our own anyway), but we didn’t. Good old ADHD - out of sight out of mind I didn’t even think about it. Until today when we got there and saw the state of things šŸ˜µā€šŸ’« So we had no choice but to roll up our sleeves and get scrubbing. Idk how long it’s been since the apartment was occupied, but it was dusty and dirty and after cleaning it four times I am not sure the kitchen floor is not capable of actually being clean… Send help šŸ³ļøšŸ˜… #jet2holiday #cleaning #deepclean #kitchencleaning #bathroomcleaning
