So clearly thereās been a change around here š¤
I donāt know how many of you have been here from the beginning (though I know thereās a fair number), but over the years this account has grown from a place to share cute pictures of my dog Taco to a very special corner of the internet with a warm and wonderful community.
As you may know, I am a pediatric and family dietitian. That means I help parents navigate the feeding journey for the family. Over the last year or so Iāve taken my previously unstructured private client business and put some actual thought behind how I want my business to look.
Iāve come to realize that I am my brand. Iām not everyoneās cup of tea, and thatās okay. Iām a mom, a wife, a business owner, a progressive, Jew from New York City with a dry wit and a penchant for tangential rants.Ā Iām also really good at what I do and for a lot of parents struggling with feeding their kids, Iām just right. So I want to share that with more people. And this account, thanks to all of you, has presence.Ā
What this means: Everything that has been will continue. The stories and daily nonsense. Thatās not going anywhere. Connecting with you in stories is why I keep coming back to this app. There will also be more in-feed content (if I can get my shit together) about feeding kids and for those who are having feeding struggles theyāll be able to get help.Ā
I so enjoy sharing my life with you and what I do with parents is a big part of my life so I appreciate you letting me share it with you too.
If youāve been here since the Taco the City Dog days, share your favorite Taco memory in the comments š
If youāre new, share what youāre excited for from me coming up! š

Meal planning is only about 30% about the actual food.
The rest is about:
⢠fewer decisions at the end of the day
⢠kids knowing what to expect
⢠less emotional chaos
⢠fewer āwhatās for dinner?ā questions
Even writing down āchicken nuggetsā helps ā not because itās fancy, but because predictability matters.
Thatās the kind of meal planning I teach in my free training: Meal Planning for Real Life.

Sometimes all it takes is⦠themed plates. š
In this case, itās an unexpected and delightful bag of Halloween party supplies that landed in my hands and nudged me to make Tuesdayās breakfast a little more fun.
These goodies were gifted by the incredible @ivyandbugz ā a curated, pre-made party favors + themed supplies company that makes celebrating anything easier. You can use their sets for a party⦠or, like I did, to turn an ordinary Tuesday morning into a full-on Halloween breakfast moment. š»
Thereās nothing like a last minute task to hit the ADHD adrenaline buttonā¦cut to me at the grocery store at 7 p.m. last night, Googling āHalloween breakfast ideasā and baking spinach chocolate chip monster muffins š«
This morning? Breakfast was so fun and the muffins were a total hit. Sometimes all it takes is a spark ā a themed plate, a festive napkin, a tiny push ā to make the everyday feel like a celebration. š§āØ

Summer 2025. The summer we lived at the farm so we could start construction, but they didnāt start until almost after we got home, but it was okay because it was actually a really really nice (dare I say golden š) summer āØš¤
Sometimes your adhd bites you in the butt and the only way out is through š
We move in to our rental apartment (while we renovate our apartment) tomorrow. We were told it had been cleaned, but itās our fault for not double checking (and we should have scheduled a deep clean on our own anyway), but we didnāt. Good old ADHD - out of sight out of mind I didnāt even think about it.
Until today when we got there and saw the state of things šµāš« So we had no choice but to roll up our sleeves and get scrubbing. Idk how long itās been since the apartment was occupied, but it was dusty and dirty and after cleaning it four times I am not sure the kitchen floor is not capable of actually being cleanā¦
