I didn’t show them, but I’ve made 10 protos prior to this one since last November, trying different designs and they never felt ‘right’. This dress was always meant to be an easy to wear, comfy, easy and quick to sew, kinda basic design and all of the ones I tried prior just felt flat. And obviously, the pattern is far from being where it needs to be, but that feeling of ‘that’s the right design/idea’ is here and if I’ve learned anything over the years, it’s that I need to trust my gut! ✨

I haven’t sewn something that wasn’t a proto or a shoot sample in soooooo long and I’m so happy with this Weekday shirt! This fabric (which I’ve used before for a Sailaway sample) is so soft and comfy 😩🤌🏻✨

🚨 I NEED YOUR OPINION (and sorry it’s at the end of the video, we’re going in order of crisis ok)
I might regret asking for feedback on a design cause you know, too many cooks and all that but yeah, what do we think? Does it have potential? I’ll keep working on it but right now, pattern 4/4 is SO MID. But honestly I tend to be a *bit* dramatic and think it might just need a bit of rework on the proportions and a different fabric and then I’ll be like wowowowowow
but who knows? (not me rn that’s for sure)

When I mapped out the patterns I wanted to release for 2026, I knew I wanted to ‘round out’ my pattern collection: have some classic/core pieces, designed Les Perlines way.
Having a button-down shirt in the lineup was a no brainer for me and I’m so so proud of the Weekday shirt. It’s perfectly oversized, it has that ‘I stole it from my boyfriend’ cool girl vibes and the most important thing to me: it’s fun and easy to sew!
I’d describe it as a perfect beginner shirt pattern for when you want the look but are intimidated by the classic shirt techniques.
Anyway, the pattern is now available on my website!
