A few frames from a beautiful day out on the water with @campbellriverwhalewatching .
This day was extra special because I got to bring my sister on her first whale watching tour, and we were lucky enough to see a pod of transients just north of Campbell River.
A big thank you to @campbellriverwhalewatching for having us out.
*These images were captured with a telephoto lens, which compresses distance and can make subjects appear significantly closer than they actually were. At all times, appropriate and legally required distances were maintained, and all photography was conducted in accordance with local regulations and safety guidelines.
Happy international Women’s Day to all of the badass women out there!
This image was taken last year in Drumheller, Alberta. Thank you Mahikan for your patience and grace while I attempted some portraits.
All the fish in the sea and the eagles like to fight over the same one. The Pacific herring spawn is always a treat to observe.

Another one from Iceland.
When I look at this photo, I can still feel how cold my fingers were while standing there as wave after wave rolled in, trying to dial in the perfect shutter speed and timing. The swell was hitting at an angle, which made it nearly impossible to capture movement across all the rocks at once, and the light kept shifting by the second. The wind was ripping straight off the shoreline, no shelter in sight.
Meanwhile, @kahliaprilphoto was freezing on top of the cliff, giving the scene that tiny bit of scale. Sometimes it’s wild to think this is what photographers call fun.

Looking forward to being back with @seracing for the Dunbar Summer Series again this summer.
Track walks, champagne sprays, late nights, good friends, rim tosses, endless editing, @bretttippie on the mic, park laps, bug bites, long drives and some good old fashioned DH racing. See you out there!

A self portrait taken on my last night in Iceland when the Aurora decided to give us a beautiful send off.
In all of my travels, getting to experience the northern lights has always eluded me. When I left on this trip, I was hopeful, but didn’t want to set any expectations. We ended up getting multiple nights of Aurora and I’m so grateful to finally have experienced them. This will always be my memory of Iceland.

Iceland! More specifically, Iceland in January.
From the moment I landed it felt like I’d stepped onto another planet. From lava fields and sea stacks to snow capped mountains and dancing Aurora, Iceland showed off in every possible way.
This image is from one of the highlights of the trip: a guided day exploring the ice caves at Heinabergs glacier. We were lucky to be one of three small groups for the entire winter that got to experience this area and it did not disappoint. The colour and texture of the ice was so stunning, it didn’t feel real. Massive thanks to @flafjall_ehf for guiding us!
Shout out to @kahliaprilphoto for adding the human element in this one to show the scale of the cave.
