We are excited to announce our Spring 2026 Chance-to-Choreograph selectee Ashley Taylor! @ashleytaylordance @aradanceproject Ashley is a performer, award-winning choreographer, dance teacher, and writer based in New York City. Ashley’s choreography has been presented by Ballet Theatre of Maryland, Dumbo Dance Festival, River Dance Festival, Ballet Hartford’s Awakening Festival, Keystone Contemporary Ballet, VidaDance Company, University of Alabama Department of Theatre and Dance, and in independently produced concerts. We can’t wait to welcome Ashley to work with our NDT Artists in a couple of weeks, and to see the premiere of her new work at our On Pointe Dance Festival, May 8 + 10! In 2023 I made a reel. I critiqued myself to the point of NEVER wanting to share it. Wishing I hadn’t dyed my hair, wishing I’d done a thousand things differently. Tbh I was caring full time for our daughter who was 2yrs old at the time. And it was all just too much. In the spirit of going forward in 2026 of “falling flat on your face while everyone is watching and getting yourself up and keep going energy”… here it is. Taking more risks this year… even at the risk of being critiqued. I am done feeling I have to wait for permission to take up space. I hope I inspire someone else to do the same. 💕 A special thanks to makeup artists @sarahpatch @emily_n_makeup And my husband @jmadly7 that even though i critiqued myself to no end, after watching it just asked… “so when you start working how should we manage the money?” 🥰🥰 And to my precious daughter who just wanted to watch it over and over cause she “wanted to see mommy on tv”❤️
