So nice to talk again about Franco Vimercati—his incredibly beautiful deep blacks, his obsessions, his world, the sensibility of his eye.
Thank you, Matteo Balduzzi, for the invitation; Elio, for the inspiring moderation; and Martino, Simone, Silvio, and Giorgio for sharing their thoughts.
And to Wolfgang Scheppe, the genius to whom I owe many things, including this Dresden experience.

The exhibition also explores the historical connections between the emergence of 20th century avant-garde techniques and the nature of the barricade.
Dadaist artist Hannah Höch, who is also known for her proximity to the construction of barricades during the Spartacist Revolt in Berlin in 1919, pioneered a specific use of collage that brought heterogeneous elements from bourgeois society together, deploying them against it.

"Considered in itself, 'Youth' is an advertising myth that is already deeply linked to the capitalist mode of production, as an expression of its dynamism.”

"Considerata in sé, la 'Gioventù' è un mito pubblicitario già profondamente legato al modo di produzione capitalista, come espressione del suo dinamismo"
«The barricade reveals a historically enduring entity that has paradoxically persisted as a means of subversion on urban territory across all periods of almost half a millennium, unbroken by fundamental historical caesurae brought on by political and economic change in the forms of society or by technological developments due to science and industrialization.
Which other instrument would have been able to remain the same over the course of this epoch without forfeiting its character as a means as its effectiveness faded under the impact of progress?»
