It was an absolute pleasure to visit our 'Guest Coffee' specialist from San Sebastian, the wonderful human Marcio from Old Town Coffee Roasters.
Marcio gave the @sansebcoffee team a full tour of the Roastery as well as giving us some absolutely wonderful coffee to use on the Van on our return, including a delicious 'Geisha' from Colombia.
Our friends from @oldtowncoffeeroasters are super important to us. They provide fabulous coffee, they provide a wonderful link and romance to the area we are so fond of and they are genuinely wonderful people to work with.
I can't wait to showcase this exciting coffee with you all at the Barrage.

What a morning!
So proud of Rosie Lowe!
This morning we had the pleasure of visiting BBC Radio Tees with the amazing human @garyphilipson who interviewed Rosie on her campaign.
Rosie currently has her image in all businesses on Yarm High St and is working hard with @visityarmuk to improve the cleanliness on the High St and to educate and set an example to others.
The interview goes out at 11.20am this morning so please make sure you listen if you can.

On Saturday 23rd May, I’ll be taking on the Hardmoors 110 — a 110-mile ultramarathon from Filey to Helmsley, with a 36-hour cutoff.
I’m doing this to raise money for the Maternity Bereavement Service at James Cook University Hospital.
On 15th January 2026, my wife gave birth to our beautiful boys, Earl and Ernie. What should have been the happiest day became the day we had to say goodbye. Born prematurely, our boys spent a few precious hours with us before passing peacefully, surrounded by love.
In those moments, the care, compassion, and kindness shown by the bereavement team meant everything. They helped guide us through unimaginable heartbreak, and we will never forget what they did for our family.
We want to give something back, so they can continue to support other families facing baby loss with the same warmth and dignity.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference and is hugely appreciated.

It's a little under 3 weeks until we host the increasingly popular 'Chess By The Tees' at the Barrage.
This is aimed at people of any age and any ability who simply have a love of chess and wish to play against like minded people.
Even if you are new and want to learn the game, help will be on hand to offer advice and guidance.
