Kim Fraczek is the director of Sane Energy, a New York-based nonprofit that focuses on moving from environmentally damaging mechanisms such as fracking to renewable energy. In her childhood, she notes how the punk rock community educated her on the value of nature and being sustainable. Throughout college, she designed for the fashion industry, but once learning about a pipeline that was being built in her community, she knew she had to take action.

• Changing how methane is measured will undermine its real world impact
• Ignoring pollution from imported gas from other states lets major emissions go unchecked
• Treating biofuels as “zero emissions” could increase pollution, not reduce it
At the same time, we know what works: Clean energy is already delivering savings for households and creating jobs across the state.
