The reason why a lot of us are not boldly walking in our calling/ordination as children of God today is because we are not living according to Gods Holy standard. We are unable to occupy space because we feel we have no right to speak or lead on what we do not personally embody. We are still bound by the very things we have been given power & victory over. ⁣ ⁣ For whoever needs to hear this, the encouragement/command today is to RISE UP. Come out of darkness!! Gods protection for the believer from the accuser of the brethren, is to call us to a higher standard of living that we may be able to stand firm against his devices & perfect our maturity in Christ. ⁣ ⁣ You are still needed at your post. There is no longer time to shrink. Whether it was caused by sin, life’s circumstances etching at your zeal or any other factor, RISE UP. The King of Kings is still calling you higher to himself. Stay alert and fight against the plans of the enemy to silence you. Souls are still waiting. God’s love & joy is still constant. His ability to save & keep you is still sure. His Spirit readily available & His word still a solid foundation. Get back to that place with Him. Stand your ground & remind the enemy of whose you are! ⁣ ⁣ ā€œFor this reason take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand. Stand, therefore, with truth like a belt around your waist, righteousness like armor on your chest, and your feet sandaled with readiness for the gospel of peace. ⁣ ⁣ In EVERY situation take up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit  — which is the word of God. Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.ā€ā£ ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭13‬-‭18‬ ‭CSB‬‬

May our sensitivity to the Holy Spirit and holiness not grow dull! May we TRULY come to know who we are in Christ so that we can CONTINUALLY manifest the victory we have and be established in faith! ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ā€œA final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. ⁣ ⁣ Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. ⁣ ⁣ In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.ā€ā£ ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬-‭17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

MOTHERHOOD šŸŽ€ Stepping into motherhood was like stepping into an empty room with nothing but the blueprints and directions of God. It has taught me that I have more strength than I know. A greater capacity than I think and the backing of the most high God. A calling & assignment I do not take lightly. Grateful for a God that sees me and continues to see me through the lens of my child. For a love that will test but knows no bounds. Happy Mothers Days to all the mamas and for the ones in waiting, I join my faith with you as you look upon the Lord for the appointed time šŸ’—šŸŒø šŸ“ø: One & only @simiojophotography

As I was pondering on this past decade, the Holy Spirit took me back to Thursday, May 19th 2016 - Graduation Day! I was telling @feliciaakerele that I can’t believe we graduated from college 10 years ago. College graduation felt like an out of body experience. Something I had imagined and dreamed of but wasn’t even sure will be achieved 😭. I remember the semester before owing so much money and not knowing how I was going to offset my pending balance. The college admin had already told me there were not going to give me any more pardons because they had excused me 2 semesters before. I literally did now know what I was going to do or who to turn to. But one thing I knew and declared is that I would graduate ON TIME and walk across that stage! One way or the other, the talk of Go fund me came up (I had no idea what that was at the time) and when it was shared I wanted no parts. Hello? I should be begging for money online? As how! šŸ˜šŸ˜‚. But the more I tried to suppress it the more I felt the nudge. Then the question came ā€œokay If I do this, who exactly will donate? All I know is college students and I have 3 days till registeration deadline) 😭. Because of fear and shame, I set the goal to $5000 knowing very well I needed $11,000+. $10 after $10, $50 after $50, $100 after $100, and 282 people helped me surpass my goal OVERNIGHT!! I don’t think I’ve ever cried as hard as I did that day. I woke up so ashamed and not wanting to check, but saw my phone flooded with messages from people congratulating me. Where did I know 282 people from? And why would they give to me?? But I graduated. And on time. ā€œBetter is the end of a thing than its beginning, and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.ā€ ‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭7‬:‭8‬ ‭ESV‬‬ was my anchor scripture for years up until graduation. There’s so much that happened in between but one things for certain - God is faithful. This is not cliche. It is facts! šŸ’› #UMBC16 #GoRetrieversšŸ•

While going through old journals the other day, there was one theme that stood out - Inquiry. Taking my questions to the Lord. Making inquiry in His presence. Asking the most random questions that one might consider irrelevant. Questioning the texts and allowing answers to come from the text. There’s a level of adventure, understanding and depth that inquiry adds to our walk as we journey with God each day. Deep revelations and answers that are etched in our hearts, inform our walk, & stick for years and years to come. Words worthy to pass down from generation to generation as they see an example of Deuteronomy 6: 6-8 being lived out ā€œAnd these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.ā€ I pray that we never be afraid to seek the Lord and ask hard questions. He speaks and is ever present despite what our fears and the enemy may tell us. His whispers are louder than the mightiest sound we may perceive. We are strengthened by the personal encounters that our inquiry invites us into. Even when some inquiries go unanswered in the moment, we remember that we walk with the answer [Jesus] at all times. ā€œOne thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.ā€ ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭27‬:‭4‬ ‭ESV‬‬

The other day I felt God ask me ā€œWhy did you stop writingā€. Ironically, I never stopped writing, I just stopped sharing. Essentially, I knew what He was talking about. He had been calling me to use my voice more, but instead, I chose silence! The last few transitions in my life have happened rather quickly. I was aware in theory of how quickly they would come, because God told me. But when reality set in, I chose to slow down and savor each season with intentionality. I realized quickly that I needed to be very present with myself and what was in front of me. Aside from that I started to question if I even deserved to be in these seasons. A sort of ā€œSurvivors Guiltā€. And on top of that, it felt like each time I came into a new season, the enemy TRIED to use what was close to threaten my joy & peace (because He never succeeds). This eventually led me to hide. I’m reminded that what the Lord brings forth, He protects. I have been protected on alll sides. As the year comes to an end, I’m reminded of this verse in the MSG version: ā€œSo here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.ā€ ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭MSG‬‬ 2025 has been a blessed year! My joy is full. I’m grateful for the transformation & added blessings He has allowed me to receive. I’m going into 2026 with more clarity, boldness, and an increased urge to do His will. Goodbye 2025 Hello 2026 Here’s to more sharing! šŸ„‚

ā€œAnd Mary said to the angel, ā€œHow will this be, since I am a virgin?ā€ā€ [Luke 1:34] ‭‭ That the savior of the whole world will come through a virgin. That the promises of God will be fulfilled in the likeness of a mere man full of the Spirit. That his kingdom will know no end and that His name will ring throughout all the earth through generations. That our sins can be forgiven and a new being emerge if we just believe. With man, this seemed impossible, but with God, ALL things are possible. This is the Holiness & sovereignty of God. That when He says a thing, surely it will come to pass. So today as we celebrate the entrance of Jesus into the world, we hold a deep gratitude for our salvation. One that could’ve only been made possible by Him. We hold on to all of God’s promises with a greater assurance that He is faithful. šŸŽØ: @looksbybettie šŸ“ø: @simiojophotography Studio: @lairthestudio

The message is two fold: 1) Question the text 2) Seek active obedience in God’s presence. Our light afflictions cannot be compared to the Glory that will be revealed.

Discipline is NOT the ONLY way to learn While there is a type of discipline necessary for the believer IN the process of learning, this is speaking to the discipline that comes after the consequences of our actions. If we are ONLY always learning from our mistakes, how do we get to the point of spiritual maturity? We can’t always only be learning from our mistakes when there’s a Holy Spirit who lives inside us. God is an ever present help. He is ACTIVELY present, watching over us to guide and instruct us at all times. His desire is that we willfully seek Him & incline to His will and guidance growing in knowledge, capacity and wisdom. Being able to decipher always. ā€œI will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you [who are willing to learn] with My eye upon you.ā€ ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭32‬:‭8‬ ‭AMP‬‬
