Think: performers singing roles the casting team would never let them do… and absolutely smashing them anyway! Wrong for the brief, right for the moment. It’s camp, it’s deeply unserious (but the talent very much is) - and you are going to want to say you were there 👀

We’re inviting submissions from composers who identify as queer, whose work explores queer themes, or whose characters are queer 💖
We especially encourage submissions from artists of the global majority and those from underrepresented backgrounds.
To submit: send us an audio file or YouTube link of your piece(s), a short description of the work + its context, and (if you have it) sheet music 🎼 If not, you’ll need to be ready to provide/transcribe it ahead of rehearsals in late May.
⏰ Deadline: May 2nd at 8pm, Show is June 5th @ 8pm
Tag your composer friends, share far and wide, and help us find incredible new voices for this special edition 🫶🌈
🎭✨ SCRIBBLES SESSIONS - CALL FOR COMPOSERS/NEW WORK ✨🎭
Got a musical you’re developing (or one that’s ready to go)? We want to hear it! Scribbles Sessions is your chance to present a 45–60 minute excerpt, concert version, or staged selection from your work as part of two afternoons in June (3rd & 4th) 🎶
We’re looking for composers with fully realised pieces OR works in progress who are ready to share their material with an audience and explore it in a workshop setting 💡
To apply: send a handful of excerpts/numbers/scenes, audio demos or recordings (file or link), a full plot breakdown, cast size + character info, and any key staging or musical requirements. Sheet music is preferred (or be ready to provide it), and let us know what stage your work is at + what you’d like to get out of the session 🎼
⏰ Deadline: May 2nd at 8pm
Spread the word, tag your musical theatre writing pals, and share this far and wide - we can’t wait to hear what you’ve been working on 🚀✨
