LSOH set and puppeteering dump
Learnt a lot from being set head for this production. Couldn't have asked for a better cast/crew to help develop this set alongside.
Tried to do forced perspective with a mural and funky set angles. Didn't work 100% but I'm still happy I tried.
Puppeteering is super exhausting but I'm proud of my first attempt. The three different puppets used gave me plenty of ideas for puppets I want to make myself in the future.
good morning everyone 🌞👋🏻 just an appreciation post for Max Arnold of @sandhurst_workshop
Just before Thursday's Chimp show was about to go up, I found out my cage had been accidentally damaged in the hustle and bustle of storage, and was gonna fall off its wheels. It sucked. Stressful as anything.
Max the absolute gun that he is fixed it up the next day, very pronto, an absolute lifesaver
Along with the cage door he's also made for Chimp:
- the lock (out of foam)
- the key
- the dining cloches
- AND an old prototype of some prosthetic chimp arms (see photo from a year ago, didn't need them in the end)
Get yourself a prop engineer like Max Arnold, absolutely fantastic to work with, my highest recommendation 🐵🫡
Worm Dump
Amazing experience learning animatronics, and hiding under a table for the week.
Would gladly puppeteer this "not suggestive" worm again.
But for now, she lives in my garage.
Assorted Chimp Props for @conorly
1. Chimp Cage w/ working foam lock and key
2. Assorted Monkey Arms to help give the physique of a monkey
3. Dinner Cloches
Some WIP photos as well as initial CAD sketch
Giant 3m long animatronic worm for "The Worm" comedy festival show
She has the ability to:
- be remotely controlled
- lift its head up and down
- light up its body, change colour, and tempo of lights
