Part 2 with Brandon, the founder of Sandbagger BBQ really stood out to me from a marketing perspective because he really understands something a lot of businesses miss:
The Location and environment matter just as much as the product.
They are intentionally putting the brand in places that naturally fit the experience they want customers to have.
Breweries. Golf events. Night markets. Community driven environments where good food, conversation, and atmosphere already exist.
That is not random marketing. That is brand positioning. And honestly, you can feel the difference.
A lot of businesses focus only on what they sell, but the brands that stand out are the ones that create a feeling and identity around the product, in this case really amazing barbecue that you can’t just get anywhere
From the outside looking in, I think Sandbagger BBQ has done a great job building something that feels authentic, high quality, and community driven.

Barbecue always tastes better when there’s a real story behind it and @sandbaggerbbq definitely has a cool story…
One thing I genuinely enjoy is sitting down with business owners and hearing how ideas actually turn into something real.
What stood out to me about Brandon’s story is that Sandbagger BBQ did not start from some massive business plan.
It started from his kids getting interested in barbecue competitions and eventually evolved into a business that blends golf, food, community, and entrepreneurship together.
As someone who already loves barbecue, it is always cool seeing people build something authentic around what they genuinely care about.
A lot of people see businesses from the outside without ever hearing the story, risk, or thought process behind it. That is why I enjoy having these conversations.

Having an efficient system helped bring in more orders in a shorter period of time. Meanwhile guest weren’t having to wait excessively for their food to be ready. I’m proud to say that our crew handled a crazy amount of orders within a couple hours and not a single person waited more than a few minutes! Not only that, it helped us maximize the amount of orders we can take which helped how much we were able to donate back to the firefighters in the end.

How many people do you think we served?!
So grateful to be part of the @motorsforminds car show! We had an epic turnout and the Sandbaggers came to play. We brought the A team and manned every station for this event to get things rolling smoothly. Orders, Buns, Brisket, Pulled Pork, and sides, we kept the line moving and not a single person waited more than a couple minutes. It was awesome to see how our team worked together while it was extremely busy and put out consistent quality orders. Great Team, Country Club service, BEST BBQ BY PAR!!
