Meet our ERMA students 2025/2026 | Sanja Vasić
Sanja comes from Belgrade, Serbia. She was originally educated as a visual artist and holds a research-based MA from CCC (HEAD–Geneva). Her work engages with theoretical approaches to artistic production, embodied and poetic narration, and research-based artistic practices. She explores themes of identity, (non)belonging, subjectivity, and the unconscious, often drawing from both theory and fiction, as well as personal and transgenerational narratives.
In her view, ERMA represents an opportunity to engage more rigorously with questions she has been exploring through her artistic and writing practice. She sees the programme as a space to deepen her understanding of human rights while expanding her work into new conceptual and interdisciplinary directions.
The Call for Applications for the 26th edition of the European Regional Master’s Programme in Democracy and Human Rights in South East Europe opens on June 8, 2026. Find out more in the bio. https://cis.unsa.ba/en/gc-see-erma/erma-call-for-applications-25-26/
#tb to the dark & sticky altar of (re)birth done during the @artistinresidencebelgrade in @gradska_galerija last year...It was made of techniques focused on the exploration of destructive acts such as burning, ripping, and breaking...miss taking spaces and turning them into my own little twisted fantasy worlds. 🖤

Or an excerpt from my baby series of short stories exploring liminal spaces by the forest; intangible things that linger across generations 🖤
