Hello everyone! It's me, Sueee-mantha!!!! (From The Substance). It was that time of year to celebrate the 97th Academy Awards with a bunch of friends! Yaaaaay look at all our Oscar Costumes!!! We're all so cute and cool! (Even though I swear I thought about buying the Sue Jacket, but it wouldn't have come in time T_T). I got the pleasure of seeing Whiplash in Concert @hurwitzconcerts @whiplashinconcert a couple of months ago. It was really, really, super awesome and worth every penny towards my expensive seat. I saw it with @theaveragejoojoo , and it was fun and hype! It really validated my film heart because I love Whiplash so much. I really wanted to remember the moment so which is why this is such a late post. Justin Hurwitz was amazing, the band was amazing, and the drummer was amazing... just so much, UWAH! The day came, and I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production with a minor in Threatre Acting. What a blessing. It was a nice day, and I'm glad I did it. I've been in school for so long that it's hard to believe I'm not in it anymore. Like now, I've done everything that a person is "suppose" to do. Ahaha, I'm still grateful I can be so Film Coded, and it hasn't been stomped out of me. I remember when I felt like I shouldn't try because I wasn't good or talented enough. Like I should find a different major/occupation because I wasn't up to par. Those were really hard conversations I had with myself. However, I overcame that, and now I feel brighter than ever, you know? I don't have to feel like I'm the ultimate liar to people anymore. Now that's the American dream. So earning this degree does mean a lot to me. I was quite new to the film program when I started. All I had were strong feelings and a big head filled with big dreams. I came in as a person with only love and adoration for the medium. Now I'm someone who can be a working person, since I understand so much more. It was great to be with people who cared about the same things I did. It feels like I can be THAT much closer to the future I want. I couldn't have done it without my family and friends. I'm grateful to the people who supported me along the way. Thank you. (Side note: Thank you, @shiakariart & @topherngomusic for video recording and cheering)

It was quite sweaty and tiring sitting at the event in the hot sun 🌞, but since it was with friends, it was 🤏 much better. I feel like Honors Convocation is like part 1 of 2 of my graduation posts. Like, I feel like I'll just say the same things twice... I suppose that's okay? I'm glad to graduate from CSUN's Film Production Program with Honors. Like the fact I can say that makes me incredibly happy. My high school self would think that I'd be bonkers and have their mind blown. But hey, we're in Bonkers Town now. Waaahahaahahaaaa, what a dream! All the post sound work is done! It was so awesome to see the multiple senior thesis short films I helped on the big screen! (Or like a slightly bigger screen than a computer desktop...) I can safely say working on Ikigai and Nerot Shel Shabbat as post-production sound during my last semester of college was a herculean effort done by me and my close friend Trent X. Powell @txp_72 Like holy balony, the late nights we'd pull off together doing sound... 😵‍💫🍔🦈 Oh, and I forgot to mention this was at the 33rd CSUN Senior Thesis Film Showcase. Wow, isn't that cool? This will be like my 4th Showcase? I still feel like a cool kid coming here. Anywho, I'm grateful to the crews of both @ikigai.shortfilm and @nerotshelshabbat for giving me the opportunity. Thank you to all the sound people who helped support me during that journey. Shout out, especially to @joelwkrantz & @ninaoeo & @tad.at.0 , for all the sound help and support. I thought about not putting me in....but I like it better as it is hehe.) (Also, I wish I had taken more cheese. It's time for an Instagram Post Comeback! You didn't think I'd stay away from social media that easily, did you!?!? Anyway, not the point.... So this was when I got the privilege of going with @csunboxing to the 2024 USIBA National Tournament back in March to rep with them! It was really cool to see all the different fighters and CSUN kick some ass! Thank you to everyone on the team for being so kind and gracious to me. Seeing how strong everyone is in fighting and in support made me want to come at life at that same energy 😙 Anywho, I've never been to Texas, so seeing Houston was so interesting! It is not the same as California 🙃 (so much open land 🥴). But hey, now I can say I've been to the "Yee-Hay" state~ Also, there was a thunderstorm in the night... it was so cool!!!!!! ⚡️🌩. I'm so happy I've been on this team since I started my time at CSUN. It's given me a lot of strength throughout my college career here, and I'm really eternally grateful. I don't know what to say. I'm speechless. The amount of effort that was put in to make little old me happy on birthday? I'm grateful to be surrounded by so many people who care about me. First Laser Tagging, then Ma La Tang Hotpot, plus a party? I can't lie, I had a lot of fun. The inner party planner in me is like "ahhh yes, I'll have to do this for someone else too gahaha". It's finally here!!! The long awaited CSUN Senior 2022 Thesis Short Film "Dahlia's Monsters". Wow, what a long journey it has been since June of 2023. 😵‍💫😵🥳 I got a chance to work on the post-production sound as a sound editor on Dahlia's Monsters. Thank you to the (@dahliasmonstersfilm ) for the opportunity. Plus, thank you, Director Abigail (@abigailsalmon ) and Sound Team, for making the process so enjoyable and smooth! I once again level up in sound experience! * The Soundest of the Sound Team~~ @hardworkinglazyperson @maritza.mra @drew_karsanow @joelwkrantz It was surreal seeing the short film I worked on screen. I legit was like, "OOOH OOOH, I PUT THAT CAR NOISE IN WAHWAH." It's a whole other level of awe and seeing what other people think. Also, shoutout to the editing team @__aud.r.e.y and @nicholas_rm . Last day of Glodok (Day 5) [@glodok_98 ] I've never used the "Create Reel" from IG Stories, so I wanted to try it out. Looks like IG has a pretty good edit to song ratio 0_____0 Not trying to make this as huge as the other Glodok post lol. I just wanted to keep my IG Stories and Pics T_T

❤️🤍~ One of the best ways to almost close out the semester. Working on a set~ ❤️🤍 I am so grateful I got a chance to work as Sound Utility for CSUN Film Production Fall 2023 Senior Thesis "Glodok '98" (@glodok_98 ). I had such a fun time! It was like smooth and steady with a bit of small pebbles in between. Their wasn't anything that the team couldn't handle, and it showed in prep. Everyone is super sweet, and the people made every day coming to set enjoyable. (I looked forward to it the days I went!...though okay, maybe the 5AM call time was a bit rough, but I still adore the people and would do it again for them, lol). I highly doubt you wanna read my kudos, but helping on Glodok got my "Sound" ball rolling, so essentially, my confidence went up a tad. Which I'm super grateful again for! Gosh, are you tired of hearing me be grateful yet?!?! I wish I was able to put more than 10 pictures on IG. I have way more fun pictures and videos to count for memories. Just know if you're not on here, it's not because I don't <3 you, it's because my camera takes 70% blurry pics and 30% clear. It's a problem, and I just live with it 😖😵‍💫 I honestly wish I got to work all set and just skip my finals, lol. Y'all don't know how much of a good time I had. Thank you to the director (@nicholas_rm ) and the producers (@desmondlohjuntian , @reagan.elise , @themateosimon , and @joyfianavenessa ) for letting me be on set and making it a good time.
