Dehusk goes to the ASEAN Headquarters 🇮🇩
Last Monday, the @aseanfoundation and the @boellstiftung SEA invited me to Jakarta to share our journey and represent the Philippines in discussions around green innovations with the #aseanyouth.
The ASEAN Foundation chair, M.I. Derry Aman, and HBS regional director, Marion Mueller, officiated the event. While, the ASEAN’s Head of Strategic Planning & Business Development, Mahmudi Yusbi, moderated it.
Being invited to speak in the same room where ASEAN leaders gather to discuss the region’s future was a big moment for us. It’s a reminder of how important sustainable entrepreneurship is to the vision for Southeast Asia—and how closely our work at Dehusk aligns with it.
We’re in a unique and challenging position here. Southeast Asia is on the frontlines of climate change, one of the first regions to feel its effects, with the prospect of global temperatures rising by 1.5°C. This isn’t just a statistic; it’s a reality that affects all of us, from our coastlines to our crops. I hope that each step we take inspires others to act, too.
And I am hopeful.
