Solo sax & electronics - live show snippets! Can’t wait to tour more of this lot in 2025. I’ve been working hard behind the scenes, updating my live effects rig and refining my set as I head towards the first couple of live shows in the spring. These four live bits are tracks taken from my recent album “Consequential”, and all feature in my new set, along with some old faves from my first LP.

Another brilliant morning as guest performer with toddlers and parents yesterday for HMDT Music at Bridge Academy in Hackney. Sax, drumming, percussion, parachute play, it had it all. My favourite moment was turning round in the middle of a latin groove piece to find one child on the potty - not had that one before! Thanks to everyone who came along and lovely staff at HMDT, I always come away from these with a big smile on my face.

Busy busy busy! Life keeps getting in the way, but I’m still finding time to work on my new LP in between all of my other work. The album seems to be expanding each time I work on it. In a good way, hopefully! Anyway, here’s a picture to confirm that I still exist and I’m still available for all of your saxophonic and general muso needs.

Some dystopian stuttery sax today. Seemed appropriate. Using the new Stutter granular algorithm on the @eventideaudio H90, drenched in a load of Head Space tape delay for good measure.

January sees continued focus on my new LP. The sax and piano are all recorded, comped, and in a rough mix ready for the next bits. Been enjoying the all new FutureVerb from @valhalladsp and Walls from @klevgrand to help glue the space nicely in my temp mix - both worth a look folks. Next up comes some embellishment with live effects pedals, and potentially bringing in collaborators to add some nice layers, perhaps a bit of percussion / bass / subtle synths. We shall see!

Life news! I’ve moved studio! Very excited to be in this new spot nearer to home in Stoke Newington, featuring a lovely project space for my music and audio work (pics 1 and 2), but also access to an amazing shared mega-studio space with pianos, drums, synths, guitars, amps, outboard gear and loads more (pics 3-6). A veritable aladdin’s cave of sonic joy. Not only do I get to share this space with the studio dog Ronnie (pic 1), but there are lovely humans too - @olliemckendrickness who comes with me from my old room, Simon Little (aka @wesoundloud ), and non-other than fellow saxophonist and all round legend James Knight (aka @knighttimestudios ). A stressful few days but we’re in - come and visit folks! Would love to hang / collab / drink tea with y’all.
