Here’s my latest album release. Migrations (2026)This was a “labor of love”. The last of my pandemic albums recorded 2021-24. This albums features some of my musician friends and family.
Ben Lamar Gaye - Cornet
Ugochi Nwaogwugwu - Vocals
Mai Sugimoto - Flutes
Eric Sowa - drums
Adam Gabbert - Guitar
Sam Mosching- guitar, bass, drums (on Great Views,Simple Sights)
Coco Elysses - Congas
Ha Tran - Art Work
This album is inspired by the stories that come from humanity moving around the earth. We all have migrated or we’re a product of a migration. This is the truth behind all our stories. This is one of things that connects us all. This is a part of our collective humanity or what makes us human. Anyone that has a problem with that is simply inhuman or has forgotten that they’re human. Let’s celebrate our humanity together knowing that our prosperity on earth makes us kin.

What a beautiful weekend with KIM at the Jazz Showcase. Great times with wonderful musicians and a set beautifully curated by Jeremiah Hunt. On top of that a lovely audience. What else can one ask for. #graditude
There is a brutal cold wave in Chicago today so I figured Wave by Tom Jobim would be a good choice to warm up the day. Also we are at the beginning of #aquariusseason for those who are counting or are Aquarius like myself.
Next weekend at Andy’s with my quartet for the late set. 1/30 with Victor Garcia and 1/31 with Fred Jackson. Both nights will feature Jeremiah Hunt on bass and Isaiah Spencer on drums. We will be playing my favorite standards and some of my tunes.
