KENYA Part 2 - Lamu
After returning to Nairobi for one night, we took a flight out to the east coast of Kenya to Lamu.
What an intoxicating place. Incredibly difficult to leave. Visit at your peril.
From the old Lamu town, to the sunset Dhow cruise, swimming in the Indian Ocean off of the most stunning beach. I’ll never forget it. Stunning.

KENYA Part 1 - Safari on the Masai Mara
It’s extremely difficult to put into words the week I’ve just had. But I’ll give it a go and let the pictures (and soon video - once I’ve cut it together) do most of the talking.
But simply put - My all too brief time in Kenya was simply, magical.
After kicking off the trip with an ex-pat Nairobi Halloween party with some of the nicest and most welcoming people I’ve ever met, first on the agenda was safari on the Masai Mara.
So we made the 5hr road trip up to the Mara from Nairobi and arrived at the beautiful @houseinthewild - our home for the next two nights. After lunch it was soon time for our first game drive. It was genuinely an emotional experience. The landscape, the sunset, the nature, the wildlife, and the symbiotic nature of it all was incredibly beautiful and humbling. It was very difficult to select just 10 photos to tell the story, but I hope these select few come close to doing it justice.
A very special thanks to our Masai guide Freddy whose knowledge, experience, hospitality and gentle energy was such a blessing. Just watching him read the Mara was captivating.

Today…
…I’m incredibly grateful and reflective.
Today… marks a bit of a huge milestone for me. It’s been 1 year to the day since my last professional music gig.
These are just some thoughts that came to mind as I was filming this video. Sat on my director’s (producer’s) chair in front of the monitor on set, amazed at the talent and incredible genius unfolding before my very eyes and all of the wonderful crew buzzing around me behind the scenes working tirelessly for a shoot that I’d help put together. I had a very emotional, reflective and personal moment while I took this all in. Just so grateful to be where I am today, for all of the opportunities opening in front of me, and for all of the wonderful people that have helped me get here.
