Exactly one year ago I attended the 70th edition of the Golden Reel Awards together with @zoebeekes for my nomination for the sound design of Entertain Me. It was an amazing experience to attend such an event!
This week I’m fortunate enough to join @eranbrinkman to fly to Los Angeles again to attend the Golden Reel Awards. Eran is nominated for the sound design of Heimen (for which I was the re-recording mixer and a sound editor). I’m really looking forward to attend the event and to meet the other nominees!

Yesterday I released part 3 and 4 of my video essay series on filmmaker Ingmar Bergman. For the last two years I’ve watched and studied Bergmans work to make these video essays covering the most important theme’s present in his films. For the last couple of months I have been working on video essays on famous filmmaker Ingmar Bergman. Today I released my second essay, about the religious believes of Bergman throughout his life, and how his religious upbringing influenced his filmmaking and his personal convictions about the supernatural. Dit jaar studeer ik af aan de Nederlandse filmacademie als Sound Designer! Na 4 jaar hard werken studeer ik af met de films Entertain Me en De Hemelse Bloem (beide als Sound Designer), Louder! So I Can Hear You en This Is Your Captain Speaking (beide als Mixer). De films worden vertoond op 8 en 9 oktober op het Keep An Eye Filmfestival (kaartjes zijn beschikbaar vanaf 27 september).
