one week of our precious Jane Eleanor Bell š born August 30th weighing 7lbs and 12oz
she showed up fashionably late after a challenging 24 hours of labor, and weāve been cherishing every second of intentionality and being present with her in these first special moments. iām in love with my little familyš„¹ God is so good and faithful to have answered so many prayers throughout this experienceāan incredible husband and a healthy baby girl are at the top of that prayer list. parents who came to cook, clean, garden, and care so well for us too. what a blessing it already is to be a mama.

I like to imagine the joyous sound of heaven as the angels welcomed you home. the embrace from your mother, father, and sister, jane. the smile on your face as you reunited with them. I have no doubt you stirred up quite the roar. that God smiled when he saw you walk through those gates. you were a pillar of strength and the most honest living example of faithfulness iāve ever seen; always showing up consistent in character. what an honor it has been to learn from you and an honor it will continue to be to carry down your legacy. iām thankful for every ounce of these nearly three decades that I got to listen to your wisdom and life stories, laugh with you, absorb all your genius in the kitchen, play endless scrabble tournaments, enjoy your humor and wit, and for every phone call we shared and voicemail Iāve saved over the years that I havenāt lived close to you. iām grateful you got to meet baby janie a few months ago, though I know you have the best view watching over us today. lastly and now more than ever, iām extra thankful to be told how much I look like youāwhat a new meaning that now holds.
