Join us next Tuesday, 24th March, 7:00PM for Amidst Flames: Reflections on Fire, Politics and Materiality with Artist Resident @joaquinseguranet . In this sharing, Joaquín will expand on his long-term research into systems of government and the modes of resistance and emerge in respond. Linking his research on Latin America to Southeast Asia, he draws parallels among notions of absence, dissidence, and diverse materialities, particularly by examining fire as a common imagery.

Artist residents Anais-Karenin (@anaiskarenin ), Joaquín Segura (@joaquinseguranet ) and Marisa Srijunpleang (@marisasri_ ) welcome you into their studios to get a glimpse into their ongoing work and projects developed during their time in residence. Come by to also experience the remnants of Weixin Quek Chong’s (@weixin_quek_chong ) jelly-like sculptural explorations, a snippet of her time in-residence. From gelatine sculptures, ecological narratives and investigations into post-war traumas, Open Studios gathers a range of work-in-progress and research materials by each resident.

Join us next Thursday, 12 February, for melting/moulting points: a sensory sculptural experience with Artist resident @weixin_quek_chong . Accompanied by texts by poet Raksha M., this experiential session explores states of fluidity, humidity and melting in relation to the body through plant gelatine skins, casted for each participant.
melting/moulting points is free with an $8 refundable deposit. The gelatine skins are made from agar-agar and water. While generally allergen-friendly, participants with sensitivities should exercise caution where necessary.

This Singapore Art Week 2026, 𝘛𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 presents projects developed by SAM Residencies 2025 participants during their time in residence.
Shaped by experiences from SAM Residencies in Jatiwangi, Yogyakarta, and Bangkok, the programme looks at how networks, shared knowledge, and different contexts influence artistic practice today. It moves beyond traditional studio spaces to highlight new ways of learning, researching, and creating.
This showcase features works by residents Ana Mendes, An Chorong, Isa Pengskul, Jim Jasper Lumbera & Joey Alexis Singh, Mario A. Llanos, Rui Yamaguchi, Ye Sian-Jie, Victoria Hertel, and Weixin Quek Chong.

What is our relationship to the moon?
The Moon School invites participants to consider our relationship to the moon at Makan Bulan. Drawing from Southeast Asian perspectives, The Moon School is a site of mutual learning and experimentation as we recentre the moon in our everyday. Here, we will move through different sensorial experiences—from food to deep listening and rituals—join us to be a part of this collective curiousity.
The Moon School comprises of Arie Syarifuddin, ila, Salty Xi Jie Ng, Haeju Kim, Angela Pinto and Seline Ilana Teo.

Happening this Saturday, 10th January 2026 at 11:30AM, join us for a time of sensory contemplation as Weixin delves into her explorations on sensorial languages, hybridity and tactility that guide her practice and ongoing research. This artist sharing will be followed by a guided workshop and a sensory experience with gelatine sculptures.
