Sony delayed the PS6 by over 4 years and itās not a Sony problem. Itās a Supply Chain problem.
AI data centers and gaming consoles run on the same chip, which is DRAM. Limited supply, high demand, and AI pays a lot more for it. So manufacturers go where the money is. Gaming gets pushed to the back of the line.
The real beneficiaries are the DRAM manufacturers, companies like Samsung, Hynix, Micron who are not choosing sides but are just taking the money.
The PS6 delay is just the most visible sign of a much bigger shift happening underneath the surface of the global tech economy.
