Dreamy March days…
One of my favorite days of the season last year was romping around with the incredibly talented @henryhedlund . I cherish anytime I get to work with an athlete that cares as much as I do about how the photos turn out. I’m just jealous because Henry can take photos as good as me but I certainly can’t send cliffs as big as him 😅
Disappointment peak was anything but 🌄
From an early morning this summer with @charliebernicke exploring the Park.
Slides 1-5: Charlie running up disappointment peak.
Slide 6: A shadow selfie of Charlie and I looking back at the Middle and South Tetons.
Slide 7: The imposing SE face of the Grand Teton. Charlie and I were using disappointment as a tune up to run the Grand later that month and boy did that view instill a healthy respect for the mountain.
Slide 8: The morning light falling over Teepee Pillar with the lower saddle between the Middle and the Grand in the back.
My brother Joe stand up paddle boards through a sea of ice chunks in the @visitgrandhaven channel in front of our famous lighthouse. Winter in Michigan can be grey and cold with less recreation than I have in Montana, but I’m always for looking for ways to get out and enjoy the outdoors anyway. This quickly holiday trip back home was in the middle of a pretty intense blizzard leaving the pier completely iced over and what I call pancake ice throughout the entire channel. #puremichigan
Winter’s finally arrived in Montana! A few months late, but I’ll take it.
I’ve skied this summer classic, The Great One, a handful of times, but never in winter conditions. The high winds and dark clouds in the distance made for dramatic light and great shooting conditions. It was an awesome bonus score a few powder turns (and some icy turns too).
One last ridge hike.
A few days before Bridger closed down Riley and I unknowingly got one more trip to the ridge in. I can’t say conditions were great, but it sure was beautiful.
Making the most of what we’ve got left.
An amazing day exploring the home mountain range with the guys. The snow is completely gone down low, but if you’re willing to walk for it there’s a lot of good skiing to be had still. Swipe to end the end to watch some #mediocregoproclips
