Join me next week at @phoenixdancetheatre for a special studio sharing as part of my residency as a Phoenix Fridays artist. 📆 Friday 24 April, 4:30 PM In collaboration with the dancers of Phoenix Dance Theatre, this sharing explores movement language through choreography developed during my 2026/27 residency. The work delves into the relationship between emotion and movement, drawing on practices such as drawing, automatic writing, light and shadow, and body isolation. We're pleased to announce that our Phoenix Fridays Artists for 2026/27 are @sammymarkham___ and @thorpe.douglas 🙌 Since 2024, our Phoenix Fridays Artist programme has supported Leeds-based freelance dance artists to develop their creative practice. Recognising the needs of freelance artists regarding studio time, space, and expanding networks, Phoenix Fridays was launched to offer local artists access to in-kind studio space and time to research and create with our company dancers.
