It started when I got into the restaurant industryâbartending became my world for almost 15 years. At first, it was fun⌠until it wasnât.
Somewhere along the way, my body stopped asking and started needing. I tried to stop on my ownâand it was the most dangerous, confusing thing Iâve ever gone through.
I finally surrendered and went to treatment. Deep down, I knewâthat was my chance to get out.
I had been running from myself, hiding in the drink.
